Only today have the time to post from the office here in Osaka.
For the last few days had been to Nara (Todaiji), Kyoto (Nijojo, Kiyomizudera and Gion) and Kurashiki for the beautiful canals.
Will be off to Tokyo tomorrow by Sinkansen (bullet train)

japan lifestyle is quite luxury that's why cost is so high. the food and drinks won't be as cheap as malaysia normal restaurant but if you're used to visiting TGIF or tony romas or kampachi then the price would be consider normal to you. lodging got a lot weird weird places. there's very cheap until very expensive. just get a bunker and sleep lo. then some cafe price is quite ok and you can stay there the whole day. save your money on lodging and shoping to try exotic foods there... you can't find these elsewhere but japan.

The normal business hotel I stay is around JPY 7,000 per night for single occupancy.
I am sure you can find some cheaper ones.
For subway tickets around Tokyo, you expext to spend about JPY 2,000 per day, depending on your travel plan.
Shopping no limit lah-depend on the purchases.
Foodwise will cost you about JPY 600 for breakfast and JPY 1,000 each for lunch and dinner.
Exchange rate-RM37 to JPY1,000.
No idea on the entrance fee to Disneyland but in Osaka, the fee to go into Universal Studio is around RM150.

Try this:

http://www.hotelmaruchu.com/pc-e/index.html

Twin room per night = JPY 6000.

Nearest hotel from Minami Senju.

We booked Aizuya Inn before we depart from KL. When we arrived we found that this hotel is much nearer to the train station and cheaper some more. So, we switched hotel and enjoyed staying there. Also, the staff are very friendly, but only 1 can speak simple English.

Good luck.

If you stay at K House Tokyo, it would cost you not more than RM 300 per room (2 beds) depending on the exchange rate.

Shopping wise... well, depend on what you buy..

Ticket to Disneyland... no idea as I did not went there rclxub.gif

Luxury... no la...
Expensive... yes la...

here are some average pricing on the food...
Lunch = JPY 600 - 900
Dinner = JPY 600 - 2000
Btw, Yoshinoya is the cheapest food in Japan and you can get less than JPY 600

Ramen is a common food in Japan and its super super delicious !!!

Hey guys, I'm considering a trip to Japan next year March. I heard dat it's cheaper to go during Spring rather than Winter. Is dat true? I think it applies to most countries as well? Most importantly, I would like to visit during their Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) Season. Japan Tour Package which include Hokkaido is usually more exp right?

I have stayed before in Tokyo, in a hotel 3 mins walk from Gotanda station(Yamanote Line). One night around 5500 yen for semi double bed, can sleep two person but very small. I would recommend sites like Rakuten Travel and Jalan.net but you need to know Japanese.

Japan is a country which a tourist no need to go on a package tour as it's very tourist friendly and safe... unless you need bus/van to ferry you all the time
