Just saw Hancock.

I'm really not sure what that movie was about but the action scenes were nice. It felt like there was a large amount of idea going into the thing and everything came out muddled. I think its the first adult Superhero film out there...and that kid is going to be one messed up dude when he grows up...

Just watched Mummy 3 on last Saturday.

I have to say this, seldom I watch action movie until I feel so boring and sleepy. It was a torturing 2 hours. I don't get it, the actors are great and storyline also acceptable but I can't help myself feel super boring and sleepy. Maybe this movie is not my cup of tea. My friend who have watched episode 1 and 2 say it was much better compare to 3. But I don't think I'm gonna watch it again if episode 4 come out.

King Kong 1933 - big point for me was I saw a tit in a 1933 film tongue.gif Jackson's version was/is/will be the best Kong version for me, at least.

Duck Soup - one of the funniest comedies I've seen in my entire life. The quote at the bottom says it all.

Wow, Red Cliff is awesome. 2hours and 10 minutes really worth it. The art of war or watching the war strategies and formation is damn nice. Can't wait to watch Red Cliff 2.

My rating 9.5/10 blush.gif

Love Guru

it sucked. it sucked so bad that i joined half of the audience and walked out the cinema en masse. i believe mike myers is a comic genius, and i still do. however this movie is the worse comedy ever. it's so bad that it's painful to watch. atleast i could still sit through superhero movie and disaster movie.

this one is a no go.

Awesome!
I enjoyed the subtle hints, jokes and details. I think the point is human nature. Love for more than just personal gain.

The theatrical version of Apocalypse Now. Thank god for it coz the redux version I saw last year was bad and lengthy. The original version instead was nicely paced and the scenes made more sense than the redux. Brando's entrance was horrifying nonetheless done perfectly. Solid 9/10

Just saw 'The Fall' last night...again..

Story is OK....but the visual scenes are breathtaking...I think probably the best I've seen so far (maybe on a personal note, even better than LOTR)...the director even claims that those are original scenes...not CGI stuff we normally see...recommended..

i never managed to get that tho, the redux version i saw was horribly messy. it feels more like a tipsy movie then a war movie with human deterioration, i dont understand why brando's character wanted to die in the end. by the time i reached that part i was sooo messed up in the confusion that i dont get it.

hellboy 2.

i read one review about it, it says that hellboy is like asking picaso to paint your walls and i totally agree with it. the depth of del toro's imagination is really wonderful, but sadly there aint much space to explore his fantasy mind in hellboy. its tooo staple a comic book fare, with added spice and thats all to it

7/10

Just saw Iron man..yup, got good reviews everywhere, high tech toys, great actors, great CGI, etc....but what let it down was the villain, man..any of 'ROBOCOP' villains were nastier than that jeff bridges suit...but thats my opinion.

Jeff Brigdes rocked hard in Iron Man, pre-suit.

Added on September 23, 2008, 6:00 pmI watched both Street Kings and L.A. Confidential back to back without knowing both were written by the same person. Street Kings was okay, above average flick with an awful performance from Forrest Whitaker. Quite entertaining while it lasts.

L.A. Confidential on the other hand.... I cant believe it's taken me this long to watch one of the best films of the 90s. Gobsmackingly brilliant all the way. It looks great, never slows down, is wonderfully written, and features strong performances all round. Just one of the greats. I didnt think it would be this astonishingly good.
