seems you guys talking about side mirror.

isit normal that the side mirror mount is not align both left and right?
my side mirror mount right side tilt toward me more since the mount is on the brake pump. causing me unable to adjust better view for close object. my left side mirror mount is also on the clutch lever
*
yes, thats normal. You have to adjust it properly.

and most people dont adjust the clutch and brake levers correctly also, having them way too high. its a safety and fatigue issue that many still dont realise.

On my 800NK, the stock mirrors are completely useless when I had adjusted the levers to the correct position. All i see is sky, as the mirrors dont have enough downward tilt. Funny this got past CFMOTO in the first place.

As I had my cat out to test the de-cat pipe, itchy fingers compelled me to clean it up. Polished just one side to show the b4 and after.

Wet sand 300 - 600 - 1200 - 2000 sand paper, then buff with autosol. The better your sanding job, the easier to buff to mirror finish.

1 year + of dirt and oxidation

Going to finish up the other side then do an overall buff again to bring out the shine.

Done on my headers a while back. All it takes is a quick ride and it gets its nice light bronze colour back

After the polish, it's much easier to keep the headers in good condition as dirt don't stick to it well. For me, it's about 3 months between refresher polish. And this is a daily bike ridden in all weather.

About 15hp more i think....along with other changes.

The v1k peanut was always meant to be a test bike to see if i could enjoy a bike like a versys coz i cant tour on the z9 anymore as its quite a painful experience nowadays n also my knee hurt like crazy.

The plans was always try out the peanut a year or 2...n if good n i can jive with it n enjoy it.... sell both n buy a brand new v1k....but now that the v11 is out...go for that la.

Z9 still wins in fun factor though.

Had shims replaced coz they were running almost out of spec during the last major service. Triumph charged me a few hundred for 7 of them. But the engine runs a lot quieter now.

A crack had started to form at one of the seam welds on the exhaust header, causing the exhaust to pop when throttling off at high RPMs. RM150 to spot weld. Fugly but it's a commuter bike so who cares.

Nice to see your valves so clean. After cleaning and re-oiling the K&N filter, I ran 2 bottles of injector cleaners in 4 tanks of RON97 to keep things clean before sending it in for the major service.

friends recommended the caltex techron fuel system cleaner.

i bought the car version since it's on sale and used it 4 times. there's one for bike and it's 75ml, the one for cars is 355ml.
before this was using the cheap STP and liqui moly cleaner that i share with my car.

QUOTE(ZZR-Pilot @ Jun 6 2025, 08:01 AM)
Ya! I went there to stock up on oil filters lol.

Triumph won't do my major service if I gave em my HF204 filter. They insist on the original filter.

Since I got 2 bikes, might as well stock up some.

how much for the triumph original filters? i've been using putoline HF204 since forever

long weekend nothing better to do.
so open the bike (again) to change the timing chain.
mentioned here that i checked the timing chain at tension and it's nearly at its service life.

bought new timing chain from fowlers parts UK for RM500.
shipping is RM50. sharing some spare parts with friends who ordered chain strip.

triumph thailand quoted RM660 for the timing chain. so a bit cheaper from UK.

checked the new NGK iridium IX plugs that i installed previously.
a few thousand km and looks great.

I've seen some vids on people taking out the fuel injector and clean it.
But it also makes sense to just pour into the fuel tank and let it clean itself... hmm.gif

actual injector cleaning is different to pour in tank method.

bench cleaning the injector via ultrasonic bath and changing the filter basket.
great for injector(s), but your valves/combustion chamber are untouched.
but if you ride agressively once a while, your engine can self remove those deposits.

pour in, you're cleaning the fuel system or anything that fuel touches.
works well if the considering the brand used and combine with agressive riding.

Another prep for sale for the versys

Removed the Shad SH58X top box and replaced with 45L alu look abs top box. Build quality not bad for this one and it latches on the outside to the baseplate unlike alot other abs ones that screws in from the inside of the box

After months of trying to figure whats making crazy vibration at the footpegs.
It reveals itself, a crack at the exhaust manifold.
And remove the secondary cats at the same time.
