They only guarantee the local bandwidth.
They already have the base infrastructure ,and should be enough for most subscriber to utilize the bandwidth to local hosted services.
And they didn't expect 99% of users utilize 100% subscribed speed all of the time.

So unless your area/connected OLT got multiple high speed plan user who run at full speed at all time, and someone keep reporting the speed cant run at full speed, they are not going to upgrade the fiber or equipment.

For the routing,as someone here said before,the TM to worldwide bandwidth QoS is prioritize for business/enterprise user or IP Transit services.

So,nowadays VPN is essential for those unifi users who want a stable connection to worldwide server.

If someone who often use imgur may just send a support or complaint message to Fastly with traceroute attachment.
I did it once few years ago,while at that time TM to Fastly cdn sites was route to Europe node,and they did optimized it with reroute to SG or asia node. (But it takes sometimes,as they need to communicate with TM for routing optimization)

Are you asking the cloudflare warp ip or cloudflare hosted sites ip?

Warp ip,u might just use another tool with wireguard to use the Warp service.
Cloudflare hosted sites ip,just add the optimized ip to the "hosts" file.

If you're concerned about privacy, I'd recommend building your own VPN with SG Server/VPS. (I prefer OVH SG ,since it is private peering with TM)
But it you just need normal vpn and alot of worldwide country vpn server to use,i would recommend NordVPN (thousands of server on worldwide)

That's why i said Self-Built VPN is the privacy way to prevent data leak.
But the disadvantage is u need to know how to setup the vpn and the cost for maintaining the server is not low.
While it is possible to share the vpn with others for cost recovery,and also the server or bandwidth might be abuse and fully utilize at full time by others.
Better share with trusting person.

With OVH SG Value - 250mbps up and 250mbps down should be enough lah.. tongue.gif (500G per month)

You can also find some yearly VPS that come with 10G port. (1G server also a lot of selection can be choose)
(around 20-50usd per year while offer ,but routing is not good over the year, sometime good sometime bad routing)

It may or may not fix your issue,but it should be relieve the issue. (Before rent the vps, better ensure your network to vps server network is stable enough)
And also,local VPS monthly fee is not cheap. Normally u have to paid Yearly or Biennially or Triennially in order to get the lower subscription fee.
For the monthly price,u will be able to rent 2 vps on SG or other cheaper hosting.

But this year end,i think there will be more choice for local server,as there are multiple DC almost finish built in 2024 or early 2025.

1.OVH SG got private peering with unifi. low latency with full speed all the time.
2.Unifi to most SG server can hit full speed,but of course some with mid-high latency.

There are some serious issue with Unifi to Cloudflare ipv6 every night between 8.30pm to 12.30am.
While at the time,the speed and latency is super unstable with Cloudflare ipv6.
So whoever using IPv6 will facing issue with sites hosted on Cloudflare at night.

At the moment when I ping cloudflare-dns.com, things look okay.

JB, 2001:e68:5432:9034::/64, Self-built Adguard-Home DNS server with smartdns(With multiple upstream DNS).

For the overload server,i used CloudflareST to TCPping 40k cloudflare ipv6 address.
All will be having issue within the time. (this second low ping fast speed-18ms,and the next second or after awhile,it suddenly like shit speed and latency-70ms)

Another test with tcpping cloudflare ipv6 with 443 port at around 9pm

I dont think Location is one of the factor that affect hops.
It should depends of routing and IPs.
