Sorry oldman here what’s eKYC? I’m IT challenged.

eKYC = Electronic Know Your Customer. You need to verify with your IC and take a selfie to use the app fully. By doing so, all your Celcom and Digi numbers registered under your IC will be shown in this app.

There is a banner in the app for you to click on to verify your identity.

To ensure you are the real person? Now only one device can link with one account anyway.

Tested on both Celcom postpaid and prepaid, YouTube resolution is capped at a maximum of 1080p during peak hours (8pm-12am) and after midnight, then I can watch YouTube videos beyond 1080p.

I don't recall if there was such a thing previously, or if it was recently implemented. Tomorrow, I will try using my sister's phone because she is a legacy Digi customer, see if it also affects Digi.

Cant detail this. Reason is due to dnb congestion. But celcom cap for 4g too.

The app asked for iPhone passcode to do the Biometric verification, but I got a failure message after.

Something to do with my iPhone settings, any idea?

Actually after I tried yesterday, I got a "eKYC Verification has been completed and info update is in progress, please wait and try later.", but today still had to go from beginning again and Biometric verification failed...
