For the past 4 month, i've been getting verification code for some apps thru sms on my backup hotlink numbers, at least 5 times a week. Called maxis CS, they said coz of recycled number. Problem is, i've had this number for more than 10 years. I think there's something wrong with maxis sms gateway routing instead.

hotspot is unlimited for rm25 hotlink plan.. so it is even better than celcomdigi kuning..

yes, if ur phone is only 4GB then 30GB...

but seriously nowadays still have 4G only phone that one is using?

For me even I have 5g phone I still use 4g first coverage is more consistent and 2nd also allow my phone to have more consistent battery life 3rd the speed 4g is reasonable for normal usage 20mbps to 100mbps

2 yo phone, may be time to upgrade if want to port to this hotlink plan.
Does this mean that if the 30GB(4G/5G) is fully used up, there is no more access in a strictly 4G area cos it cant use the 30(5G) quota?

yes, data is splitted into 4G and 5G... it is 100% sure that cannot use the 5G quota if u do not have 5G device.

i am not sure if hotlink rm25 plan comes with basic data (reduced speed) one, but from the pass i am using now on my hotlink no, rm45 plan for 40gb data with free roaming to lion city etc.. i used up 40gb before 1 month, and i received sms saying that my plan is going into reduced speed. so no additional data charge but technically when reached reduced speed, ur plan is unusable also.. the reduced speed cannot allow one to do much with it...

You would be surprise there are still lots of 4g only phone launching in Malaysia, especially entry and mid range phones.

Back to this number. It didn't auto-renew RM10 plan on 26/11/2024 because validity expired 25/11. Balance around RM50.

Anyway I let it sit for a few months with RM10 plan still enabled in Settings. I was planning to topup RM5 or buy RM1 validity tomorrow as the termination date is day after tomorrow: 23 February.

Suddenly yesterday, it auto-renewed. (Still have *888*1# 6GB loyalty data.)

Let's see if the "Always Active" works for next month.

Saw 5G phone now selling at RM700 already, available from Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Xiaomi … should be very affordable. Still buy 4G phone i think overpriced if selling at that price point …
