AEON bank submit request to close acct on Oct 27, still waiting for Nov 15 to come so can actually close acct, within the 2 weeks, your RM20 locked inside is sitting duck for any (annual) fees

I will still keep it as long as GX still have the 1% cashback for overseas transactions.

aeon bank quite annoying cos u need a conventional bank as evidence you have an alternat (non-digital bank account). I had to use my maybank account statement to submit as evidence, then got my account closed and money back

Same thing happened to me with Rize. Tried to open a Rize account, then used GX as first deposit. Weeks later, told me they decided to close my account, even after making a second deposit using a traditional bank (Maybank) as instructed by their CS agents. They didn't give me a reason why, but no doubt it is because of the GX deposit.
