TBH Inspira is still priced a little out of reach of most B40 car buyers. Worsen by the 1.8/2.0 engine with higher roadtax cost.

Also not helping is ppl back then really not confident with potong anymore (plague by campro era of QC issue and the all time femes power window issue), even though you can say it’s practically a Japanese car behind Inspira.

Because already got new engine or at least newer engine for DNGA platform with 2NR-VE and the combo with D-CVT is still extremely competent in terms of efficiency

22.5km/l already achieved here in Myvi, why put in more expensive engine and bump up the price? People really dont care if old or new engine, as evidenced by the stupid 4 speed auto gearbox being around so long. As long as fuel efficient and reliable is all people want. Proton until today cannot understand this and this is why they keep losing to Perodua and T&H.

Went to showroom yesterday for the S70. The front design look a bit dated while the rear design just moderate. It is big contrast inside with its stylish design and advance tech. At 90k (flagship) you get the full ADAS, full digital instrument, big head unit, electronic parking brake, and most important is the turbocharged engine with DCT.

The car looks like C segment however the interior length is smaller than City similar like Vios, but the S70 is much wider than the duo. Btw I do not put high hope in drive because as usual China car setting is soft suspension with obvious body roll in corner. But it is still a good buy consider that the price is cheap.

yup... agree with this. I think most current geely models right now are very dated is compared to other competitors.

KUCHING, Dec 20 — National carmaker Proton Holdings Bhd has received over 4,000 bookings for its newly launched S70 compact sedan so far.


Proton deputy chief executive officer Roslan Abdullah said the overwhelming support reflects the trust and excitement customers have for this latest addition.

You wont find it because there is no such thing. Geely/Proton models have nothing to do with Volvo. S70 is not a Volvo, is a Geely BMA product and now even Volvo is phasing out and dropping CMA platform, no more shared platform with Geely.
