as for insuflex... the sponge part of it should face the heat or the rubber side of it ? unsure.gif
*
sponge part should face up bro
the smooth part face down so the glue can get a good grip on the insuflex thumbup.gif

DIY install stabilizer bar
this significantly improves handling around corners at high speed. mine is bolted onto the shock's bar. some say that isnt good. the ones that bolt directly onto the body will also work i guess...most important is to stiffen the chassis so it doesnt flex too much when cornering
cost: RM45

can i know where did u get it?

Dont worry,...no effect on air flow
the main benefit of the ori cai is that it takes air from the fender
this means it is cold (atmospheric temp) and also clean
...if the ducts just face forward e.g. from a hole in the front bumper, then filter gets dirty faster as its essentially a vacuum cleaner for all the dust n dirt that one drives through on a daily basis

as far as power/efficiency diff, i'd say there is none...even forward facing types (some say coz driving forward into the air increases air flow) will not be noticable coz the diff in pressure is too low for us to 'feel'

one thing that may be noticed with the ori cai is longer filter life which, if one doesnt change often will definitely translate into better efficiency as a dirty filter can quite significantly affect efficiency

suggested change interval: 5000km

the filter is only RM7 anywayz... wink.gif

got it in seremban
one of the accesory shops on jalan zaaba, past the fire station
important thing to note about this type is that the bearings must be good. when you change your shocks, take the bar to a shop and get new bearings hydraulically pressed in
using a hammer will just ruin the replacements from day one wacko.gif

Insulation should be still available at the shop

Maybe can try some normal spare part shops...just might get lucky and find one tongue.gif

You can try get this CAI hose for RM60 without metal fastener at:
AME AUTO PARTS (PJ) SDN. BHD.
25, Jalan 21/11A SEA Park
Petaling Jaya 46300
Selangor.
(Beside CIMB Bank)

I just bought mine from there. It's a bit more expensive than where neosaint99 got it. But since it still have stock so okok lah... The stock one looked very nice in engine bay.

I asked the boss there he say still have some stock... He say if want more maybe need order (Since not in production dy means that's all left) Maybe can try there?
