So high demand huh? My quotation and installation by PG was fast and efficient. Everyone approved and installed plus started using within a month. I think it was commissioned in May this year.

My RM400-500 bill has reduced to RM10-70 for the past months with a single phase 6.9kwp system  smile.gif

before july ok.

during july onward, all screw up..
even PG, totally no reply from sales.

i feel that whole ecosystem like not very good.

all buy the system, will stick to the company for few years or even until all device warranty end.

if some of the company close shop, then is end of it.

why not gov should come out with a program to regulate this?
mean all project (house) should have fund put into a funding that be used to take over those who close down.

Wow! 3 months ago when I was about to get my solar panel system install I vividly remember there’s 40% left, now it’s just about 20%. Even though it reaches quota, I think the gov will still introduce new NEM.

they will but will take time,

cause they also need to ensure TNB infra can support it.

in Vietnam which no gov control, which cause their grid collapsing.

in cambodia, those installed 10kwp and above need to pay extra fee to gov.

Aug is extremely bad weather for me,
at Nusajaya.

24 days,
average 26 kwh perday only on my 7.26kwp system.

QUOTE(manx @ Aug 31 2024, 09:29 AM)
Guys, is there any clause saying the panel areangement on roof top need to follow 100% the draft plan submitted during SEDA application?  I wish all/most of my panels  placed on the top side (facing N), bu seem like in the plan mostly are placed at he back (house roof). Also, will there be any impact or they are basically negligible? The sun rises from right and set on the left of my N facing house.

mine de, when survey time half front and half back.

when installation day, the installer say cannot, cause got block at behind, so 100% at front.

I did my 1st day testing on last Wednesday and actually weather is not really hot on that day.

7kwp system started at early morning before 7am then manually switched off at 4pm.
Generated 31.89kw.

My neighbour home 6.4kwp installed 3.5 years ago..said his solar panel can generate saving close to RM400 per month.
*
why need to manually switched off at 4pm?

kena >1500kwh penalty can hit 800 easily

night time 3 room aircon whole night, living room ac sure hit
*
wrong usage of aircon?

mine, open whole night for master bedroom, with non inverter 1.5hp.
around 150KWh only permonth.

remember, set the aircon to 24C and above.

cause extremely hard to go below 24c,

many variables, how long u turn on, hp etc.

i have 2hp and 1hp depending on the size of the 3 bedrooms.. at 10 hour per day is not far fetch to think that these bedrooms' a/c units can consume 700-1000 kwh a month

anyways my goal for installing solar since last year is not to reduce consumption but maintain lifestyle with lesser consideration on hitting the 1.5kwh limit, which work out well so far
*
is not so simple for it to work.

cause u normally on aircon at night where no Solar time.

cause TNB will charge the surcharge before deduct the Solar credit.

700 - 1k KWh usage per aircon or total?

actually is about the lifestyle of set to 16C even know that aircon will not possible to reach that.

same like my old life style, set max for the aircon and pay for all the extra for nothing.

For my case, if set at 25c, there will be a period of time when the ac blow normal air and make the room a little uncomfortable.  I prefer to set at 23-24 degree.
*
there is no right or wrong, just set most comfortable (23c to 27c) as long as not below 23C will do,.
cause we malaysia temp, will not go below 23C except raining day with full blast aircon.

wall, windows, glass door and etc will contribute the aircon usage as well.
if the room is very sell insulated, mean less to no windows and glass door, the cold air will not so fast exchange with outside temp and the compressor will not work as hard already.

more and more solar providers appear in the market ...
so price may drop to attract customer ?
*
price hard to drop alot,
cause huge part of the cost is on the installation and accessories which only will go up in price.
