QUOTE(netflix2019 @ Jul 16 2024, 01:56 PM) 1) TNB wont let u install solar panel that will generate more than your monthly bill. You have to submit your plan, including your 3 months latest bill for approval. not really,2) Those extra energy can be used to reduce the subsequent TNB bill. Get reset every year December 31st. 3) konklusi ialah u wont earn cash from TNB. can only offset your bill. Any extra TNB say thank you to u. You want make money u buy TENAGA share, they give out nice dividen. my TNB bill which i submit just rm130 per month. they approved me for 7.26kwp cdspins liked this post

QUOTE(Minion Kombat @ Jul 16 2024, 05:52 PM) My bill estimate rm300 got calculated to install 5.5kw. so far seems to generate roughly to this level. Based on your bill and solar size, u must have a lot of excess generated? Planned for future usage like ev cars izit? QUOTE(cdspins @ Jul 16 2024, 06:22 PM) By the way, that capacity is probably double of your monthly usage? You predict such high usage suddenly? Getting ans EV? yeah got plan for EV future but why go solar, so can on aircon in living room more.cause the weather really extremely hot. currently getting 25 to 30 kwh for this few days. if raining day, will be 15 kwh. cdspins liked this post

QUOTE(Ivan113 @ Jul 16 2024, 10:08 PM) Getting solar for EV is no brainer. I estimate for frequent traveler ( 2 hours per day ), EV need around 300kwh per month. Rm20,000 after Rm4k rebate, even if you get 60 months installment, it'll be around only RM370 per month. Rm370 per month to cover your regular petrol cost and air cond 16 hours per day, and after ROI, you practically get those luxury for free. look like i need to change my 10 years old aircon to 5 star inverter aircon already. |

My timeline - update as of today 10 Jul. 7 May - send all documents. 21 May - Sign SEDA declaration 4 Jun - SEDA approval 6 Jun - receive NEM certificate 21 June - installation and done in 1 day. 23 Jun - submit for NEM meter to TNB 1 Jul - My whole taman install new smart meter (the Solar installer say ok for install new meter) <-- already let the solar installer know on 6 Jun that my taman will have new Samrt meter installation, they say ok, go ahead let them install. 2 Jul - TNB team come and say install Smart meter for solar, but notice already change meter, they say don't need to change and leave. 3 Jul - Solar installer now say the 23 Jun application is invalid as new smart meter installed on 1 Jul, so need to submit new application. <-- now only i know the solar installer screw up the application. 9 Jul - receive email from TNB say my application is submitted for NEM and pending. 23 Jun application is cancelled. 23 Jun to 9 Jul nothing have happen , so is solar installer company wrong or TNB wrong? Who cause the 23 Jun application cancelled? Totally 17 days wasted, all solar power generated go to ground. wasted and i still keep using coal power cause of this. 11 Jul - receive the payment request bill RM10. 12 Jul - morning - Pending interim read at 12 Jul - 5pm - TNB guy come for meter reading again, he take picture and told me my case is in urgent case. 12 Jul - 6.30 pm - Received the Email from TNB say NEM meter complete, and a bill for this month payment. 20 Jul - Received the Solaris welcome and claim form. - but IC number invalid, reported to TNB, they say is solar installer need to settle with TNB, then reported to Solar installer. Solar install say they have go to TNB HQ to deal with it. 23 Jul - Received a updated Solaris welcome and claim form and successfully submitted the form. 26 Jul - Received email from Maybank say got Giro tax of rm4k to my account. 29 Jul - Received the RM4k in my bank account. At last settle all the step. skywardsword liked this post

QUOTE(RiriRuruRara @ Jul 31 2024, 01:48 PM) off topic question but anyone can advice why I cant seem to save on electricity bill? Non solar user here. Example pass 2 days I turn off my fridge and coway water and when I look on the the mytnb it says I used 20kwh a day during the pass 2 days when I had these appliance off but the other days when I had these appliances on my daily usage is also 20kwh a day. Something doesn't add up with me here? coway is like 0.5KWh per day with turn off cold water.I want to put solar but was quoted rm21k which will take me some time to save up for it.. if on cold water, around 0.8KWh to 1Kwh perday. fridge, also like 1 to 2 KWh per day only. QUOTE(cdspins @ Aug 1 2024, 09:57 AM) Yup, in ideal case, this appliances doesn't consume that much energy and it is ok just to leave it on 24 / 7. if the machine got issue, then they should replace it right?Mine is something wrong with the sensor and even if I call the technician, they don't even know how to fix or troubleshoot it. To them, there is hot water, there is cold water... then no issue. But the real problem is that the ambient water and cold water and hot water is actually all located in a connected tank. The cold water is at the bottom, ambient water in the middle and hot water on top and further heat up when user needs it. So when some sensor spoilt... the cold water continues to cool and the ambient and hot water temperature drop... Due to this, then the hot water also contentiously reheat to maintain hot temperature... and this causes high energy usage. But if one never logged the energy usage, they will never know as from outside, it is working totally fine. maybe u just buy a energy tracker to track it to proof the machine have issue. the device around rm20 in shopee only,. salimbest83 and skywardsword liked this post

QUOTE(cdspins @ Aug 1 2024, 11:58 AM) It is only possible once you isolate and know the issue. they should be 1 to 1 replace it if got issue,. The problem is that many don't know how to debug such problem. Anyway, just information sharing. if u under their monthly plan. most important is u need to show them the machine really got issue. skywardsword liked this post

QUOTE(cdspins @ Aug 4 2024, 03:31 PM) Actually if you google or check shopee or lazada, you can find a lot of such meter.... 3 phase will be more expensive though. Some installation and understanding of wiring is required. But do you really need it? You can do simple back track calculation from your previous months usage before solar.... does the TnB import add up with the missing export from the solar to be within range or your usage pattern? If yes... then why need to spend extra to check the job of TnB meter and inverter log? i see Huawei inverter support SCADA or Modbus connection.if got mean can complete the system to have all data. |
