I heard someone mentioned new box is hybrid, if box detected Lan is dedicated vlan then it'll use dedicated vlan, otherwise it'll use internet vlan. Someone did share screenshot how to configure for internet or iptv vlan, can't recall somewhere in this forum or unifitv forum.

Can someone clarify? I have intention to get latest unifi tvbox for family use, prefer dedicated vlan iptv as well.

If it's the gen 2 box (square), simply connecting up a LAN cable from LAN 4 on the router to it should work?

I'm using hypptv white STB. So it's work on port 4.

However I'm not sure the rest unifitv box as there is a lot gen variant from them.

If I applied new box foc with 24 months extension, in other word, I'm on ultimate plan and plan to get new box by upgrade to Ultimate plus, then I'm not sure which gen box I'll get from unifi.

I'm worry they'll give me old gen box.

unless you are using less than 50mbps,then that's not point for using the dedicated vlan for iptv.
The dedicated vlan only consume 8mbps for unifi iptv (if they didn't change the limit and setting from few year ago).

And dedicated iptv vlan setup will occupy one port of your router, not worth if your have more device.

Ahhh so possible use Netflix, DH or other apps on dedicated iptv?
*
No.

If u use port 4 for unifitv, u turn on WiFi at box setting so that netflix, Disney n the rest can work as well.

I dunno if all upb, old n new will work this way but the latest one I hv does.

UPB gen1 are those with only red+green "bulb" LED in front.

UPB gen2 are those with TRON-style blue strip LED in front.

I can confirm UPB gen2 can stream via UnifiTV app on IPTV vlan.

While I cannot explicitly remember whether did I launch other apps while connected to IPTV vlan, it only make sense that the other apps are also working.

Wah... if you read line by line, she actually said that MSAP already done early this year. So no more MSAp this round.

This round is for TM to lower down the price to Maxis, etc.

And the consumer price will depends on market competition. When Maxis got a lowered price from TM, they can lower their end-user price. When Maxis price become cheaper, Unifi users will switch over, so TM need to come out with SWU plan.

So, SWU is already here, right now.
*
Therefore SWU comes first to lock people from switching to other ISP. Lower price keep delay so more people will eventually take up the 2y contract

aiyaaaa, we already know, even Fahmi also said new MSAP STARTED FROM MARCH 2023.

but you minister and deputy minister so lemah, the ISPs and telcos are looking down on you. delay delay delay until TM also delay publish its RAO until July.

now from July until September, not a single ISP connecting to TM have finished haggling?
what is the minister and deputy doing? makan gaji buta.
lullaby about B40 and B40 only until lose the larger forest for the B40 tree.

since MSAP is already done and dusted since March 2023, whatever prices also should have gone lower since March or April. DON'T REVEL TOO MUCH ON THE NEW PRICES UNTIL FORGOT THAT THE ISPs OWES US SINCE APRIL FOR THE PRICE DIFFERENCES THEY ALLEGEDLY ABOUT TO ANNOUNCE.

I can't plug them to test the vlan; I rearranged furniture and no ethernet cable long enough between fibre and tv.

I'm not affiliated with TM.

No. Your contract is still very new and running. They won't allow you to switch to SWU 3.0.
