How do they know they got permanent 500Mbps? What plan is that? SWU4.0?
*
Don't know what name is that, maybe is SWU3.5 or SWU3.0B?

QUOTE(LiQuID2 @ Sep 26 2023, 07:47 PM)
Went to tmpoint.today and requested swu 3.0. Offered rn119 for 500mbps free 6 months free router and mesh wifi. Condition contract 2 years and sign up 1  sim card rm39. Ask me to cancel 1 month later the sim card. Die die want me sign up
*
One of my friend from my chat group share that, if they ask you to sign up RM39 Postpaid (ZERO contract) for the RM119 MESH6 will get permanent 24 months of 500Mbps. You can terminated it later afterward via livechat/call in.

QUOTE(hjh87 @ Sep 27 2023, 08:43 AM)
Guy, I'm a bit confused.

An agent contacted me a few days ago and offered to upgrade my 30mbps package. The offer is as follows:

1. 100mbps + Netflix for RM129
2. 100mbps + a Selected TV Pack for RM149
3. 300mbps + Ultimate Pack for RM179 (with free 500mbps for 1 year)

I expressed my desire to have the permanent 500mbps with the Ultimate Pack, and the agent quoted a price of RM249.

My question is, if I choose the 300mbps + Ultimate Pack for RM179, will I eventually receive the permanent 500mbps? In other words, does choosing the SWU 3.0 300mbps plan mean that all users will eventually receive the permanent 500mbps upgrade?

Would it be best to visit a TM Point directly to inquire about the specific offer they can provide me?
*
The SWU3.0 or what StayWithUnifi are EXCLUSIVELY for TM Point only. No single agent able to get that package. They are still selling old package, and Yes you might ask, why TM do that? Is because TM have to pay Agent commission. TM point no need to pay anyone because there is no MIDDLEMAN.

Hope they won't forget about SWU 2.0 users. I'm on SWU 2.0 300Mbps. They offered me that before to retain the same price I'm currently paying for 100Mbps. There was no 3.0 during that time. Huhuhuhu

Yeah the guy i talked to at TM point straightaway ask me back which one i want lol but finally explained to me the best bang for buck deal @rm119.

Same, say need to register rm39 unifi mobile which can be cancel anytime, i just take and give the fella some commision. Its not like i pay rm39 for nothing i still get mobile data.

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Sep 27 2023, 02:01 AM)
I think i will just ask for SWU3.0. Just go straight to the goal. No more pusing around. LOL  Afterall, my contract already expired for more than 3 years. Plus payment always on time for more than 10 years. I will emphasize those good points by being a loyal Unifi user. Should be easy peasy. bruce.gif

Tolong them sikit bang. They even provide you solution to terminate it afterward if you don't like to use or don't need it. IT IS ZERO CONTRACT BRO.

The RM39 charge on your next bill, if you terminated early, it will be pro-rated at 30 days, which it was like RM1.30 per day + 6% SST.

then what's the difference with giving bribe to induce receiver to give you advantage?

it's one thing if such is standard corporate mandate.
it's another if it's to personally gain remuneration.
if the plan is available without having to subscribe phone plan, then stick to that. do not encourage shady practice. for you it's affordable, for somebody it might not be. where will it stop?

What makes you think registering for a mobile line is about repaying him through sales commission?

So can you OR can you not register without registering for the mobile plan as well?

Was registering the mobile plan a condition to register? Without which the representative will not register?

To your personal knowledge, is registering for a mobile plan standard practice of all TMpoint? Just that particular TMpoint? Or is it a impromptu condition imposed by an individual?

IMPORTANT: Which TMpoint this had happened in? At what date and time?

Hi, to update, went to Tm Point Kulai just now because my received offer via phone for RM119 500mbps last week did not reflect to my account till now. How many days this to take effect after receive call and confirmed? it has been almost a week till now.

the outcome of the visit
- confirmed that Rm119 recently just changed to permanent 500mbps, not only for 1year.
- anyone if passed certain criteria can apply to the SWU package. few criteria mentioned by the lady
1. unifi home customer, min 2y
2. no contract left
3. contract extension another 2y

I do the application to SWU again because afraid this phone order was missed by the system. hope to hear good news from TM.

Today went to TM point, pandan indah branch. Straight to the point, no question ask. 300mbps upgrade to 500mbps, perpetual. Yes. I double confirmed. That's what she said. Thumbprint settled. Now wait for the call for installation.

Reasons why I decided to choose SWU 3.0 instead of fahmi announcement.

1. If fahmi announces price reduction, don't think it will be cheaper than rm119. Even Time also offer rm119. So most likely the MSRP will be around there.

2. If fahmi announces speed upgrade. No thanks. I don't need 800mbps or 1gbps. 500mbps is more than enough.

For brothers and sisters who are still considering, Better make decision asap. Now is almost end of the month, so not sure if the same offer still available next month. Hmmm... What? You say wait for fahmi? Today already 27th, tomorrow is holiday. Then it's Friday before the weekend. So do you think there will be announcement in these few days?

I'm sorry if I am giving the wrong info to you or others here. What I'm trying to say, if the RM39 is compulsory to take in order to gain that package benefit, so why not? Just terminate it next day or same day, since is ZERO contract.

From what I know is the current situation as of today 27 Sep 2023, I just got know from another person, they still have the package of RM119 for 2 years, 6 months waived, MESH6 included, 500Mbps for 12 months, and 300Mbps for the rest of the contract.

So the permanent 500Mbps for 24 months for RM119 are required to take RM39 Postpaid as part of their package. BUT BUT, unless the staff telling my friend is not the real story, or some sort of shady plan behind of it.

As of you guys don't know, reseller don't have access of this RM119 for 500Mbps or RM119 for 300mbps either. They are still selling the full price of RM149 for 300mbps/500mbps boosted.

I got permenant 500mbps for rm119. No postpaid required. Nothing. So my best guess is that RM39 postpaid requirement is based on the branch decision. As for why some branches need to impose that requirements, I have no idea.

Indeed. Previously I didn't want to apply due to the temporary upgrade. I want to stick to 500mbps permenantly. After knowing that they are now offering such price with upgrade to 500mbbps perpetual. No need to think twice anymore. Just accept the god damn offer. Lol.
