Telcos are delaying it because the new pricing should be lower than current SWU 3.0.Unifi Official TM UniFi High Speed Broadband Thread V41, READ 1ST PAGE FOR RELEVANT WIFI INFO

QUOTE(pokemon @ Sep 24 2023, 12:12 PM) All the while, the binding is: can always upgrade, but not downgrade or cancel.Let's say, in future, 800Mbps is selling at rm129. You can always upgrade to 800Mbps at rm129 too. Better still if it comes right after the SWU 3.0 6 months free period, then the scenario would become free internet for 6 months, then upgrade to 800Mbps. If 500Mbps is selling at rm119, you can always upgrade to 500Mbps too, which becomes the scenario of "permanent 500Mbps" for existing 300Mbps plan. |

For some reason I have a feeling that TM going to announce turbo upgrade, but those already on SWU and under contract won't be eligible to get the free upgrade. jusbella liked this post

Yes, you are allowed to change to the higher/lower speed package at any time. However, depending on your package selection, you will be tied to a new contract period if the package offers better value such as it comes with a new device, discounted price or any other value added regardless of whether you are within or beyond the contract period. simmarjit liked this post

Yes. I think this is the case. These few days, my speedtest is acting so strange. My current package is 500mbps (turbo). But when I tested it, the speed straight jumps to 800mbps, then go down and maintain at 500mbps. The upload speed also the same. Jump straight to 200mbps, then go down at 100mbps. I use unifi more than 10 years. This is the first time I encounter this. Logical explanation is they upgrade my port to 800mbps without any notice. for preparation. Once fahmi announces the news, then my package will get the free upgrade. Honestly, I prefer cheaper price instead of free upgrade. jasontanky, The.Lucas.DaY, and 3 others liked this post
