From the look of the price point, my best guess would be a typo. I personally think that could be the 3850 but who knows. Maybe the 3870 is that cheap.

I used CCC overdrive, 7.12, the one that got from driver cd (forgot what ver), latest 8.1
7.12 n from cd can oc, but blacked out when play oblivion, 8.1 overdrive can't even oc past 860/1195
even 855 clock, mem at stock, cant play oblivion

tried everything, omega driver, ATT, rivetuner.
ATT is even weirder, can't even oc 1mhz, screen blacked out


used driver sweeper, driver cleaner n everything

maybe if I spam ATi with my error report, they will do something bout it.
it says something about 'the gc wont respond to the driver' or something...
but the problem is, my lan adapter is fried.gotta buy new one first.

Wana ask, my HIS hd3870 turbo got sound whenever a game is loaded... like eeee, errrrr, biiii.... can hear very loud from where i sitting cos currently i'm running it without case...

is it normal? this is first time i'm using Ati cards... like time 8800gts 320mb no so much noise... any idea?

its normal lolz unless u use asus maximus mobo then mabe no more sound liao bcoz it has custom heatsink i use the P35 platinum mobo with custom heatsink no sound dy hahaha

Bro,i just tried OCed my ICEQ today and whenever the gpu usage reaches full load,it will crash.
At stock frequencies oso,,screen all blackout,the fan spins up to 100%,and have to force restart when playing games at full load for around 1 hour.
I hope HIS give us the answer..

My HIS iceq cannot play game also... will crash after completed first mission in Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter...

i guess it is driver issue. i usig ATI 7.12 playing games now. so far got improvement compare with 8.1
i wil trying testing the crysis 1-2 hours 1st and see.

bought sep 3870 for rm 749 at czone

but need to wait this weekend coz my pc at epo

other 3870 can oc kaw2 + play game stable some more.
definitely bios prob.

don't have prob on stock speed like sagitarros, though.

looks like I'm going to have to settle with med-hi settings for gaming this short break if cannot oc the gc + my noob rig....

yup...your proc...and what is the type of your ram bro?? ddr or ddr2?? but ram do not affect much...mostly the culprit is the proc..
