Needs hacked drivers and stuff. Not recommended. Unstable.

Hi there

Ok is 5 years witout any problems wit my currant rig is not considered long lasting then I might change for a boring green PCB and lower IQ image.

Don't flame me but I think we are out of topic here

Any radeon owner with 7.12 drivers having experience with bad color palleting in 2D rendering especially font? The problem only happen when cleartype function was turn off.
In my case it's affecting yahoo messenger messages font, google result and forum board.

Don't quite understand. Maybe you should post the GOOD pallete and BAD pallete so we would be able to see whether it's happening to us.

HD3850...New energy efficient chipset...no point going for the older one that is nearly same performance(and in some cases lower than HD3850). Newer games will also perform better on the newer chipset and the 2900Pro will be fighting an uphill battle in the coming months.

Oh...doesn't happen to me. Not sure. But I guess it could be drivers problem. What can we do? Just wait for fix.

You MUST turn on the cleartype font. Or you either turn off font smoothing.

Something is wrong. Previous driver works well with or without cleartype font.

Yes it is 7.12...But going back to 7.11 in my mind is not advisable if you are a gamer.
