QUOTE(Eulm585 @ Sep 7 2023, 10:14 AM) At immigrations there are those checks, quite fun to look around and observe. Haha. Some may say that's racial profiling! Now i have been keeping an eye on customs. Because they seem to be quite random.. sometimes im not even carrying any checked-in luggage also kena stop. Sometimes with 2 huge checked-in luggage never kena stop for scanning. Feels as if its totally based on how your face looks or how the officers mood |

QUOTE(zstan @ Sep 7 2023, 10:43 AM) Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane. I didn't even put a specific address Congrats! Hopefully this will be the start of a new trend where Australia won't be so anal about ETA applications from Malaysia anymore!Flight tickets were ok but I didn't submit to them during the application. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Sep 13 2023, 03:42 PM) The message was "Unable to attach the PDF file provided. The number of pages will exceed the attachment limit." Bro, something's not right then. My wife and I are in the midst of our RRV reapplications, and I've just uploaded some 40 supporting documents to demonstrate tax/money/family/cultural/work ties to Australia - all of them were uploaded and stored safely.Maybe the scanned files are too large. It worked last year! And even after i reduce the resolution! HOWEVER, you do have to check before submission: if there's a period of inactivity, the documents get deleted (but not your application), and you'll have to reattach them. Good luck. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Sep 14 2023, 11:27 AM) No. You should not have to pay $190 for sub class 600 aprt from the $20 ETA fee. Sounds like someone’s been falling asleep at their desk at work. The email they sent showed that i applied or SC 601 and yet the link they sent me is for SC600 which is 12 month stay and requires payment of $190. |

On the subject, I have to say that the visa processing times have caught up post covid and improved tremendously. Last year, when we did our application, it took us 3 months to get our RRVs approved.
Yesterday, I received our latest RRV approvals barely a week after I submitted them: ![]() Excellent stuff. More 911 time on the roads for me! |

QUOTE(Mr.Robert @ Nov 19 2023, 03:06 PM) If I plan to visit Australia next year for 1 week together with my friend who has twin-Australia degree program 1-2 weeks attachment Yes. The common exemptions are only if you're an Australian citizen (don't need visa), a PR (need a valid RRV - Residents Return Visa, or a valid 5-year PR visa), already have an existing visa that has not expired (either you're on a tourist visa, a student visa, a bridging visa, a work visa etc), or a Kiwi (visa on arrival).Would I need apply Visa? I’m SinPR PS - I'm lumping ETA applications in the same category as Visa applications, although technically they are not exactly identical. QUOTE(15cm @ Nov 19 2023, 03:29 PM) Yes, but need ETA ... which, I've modified to add, requires application (and sometimes, additional documents to be submitted). Malaysia also have the same arrangement. This post has been edited by hksgmy: Nov 19 2023, 03:39 PM |
