According to hksgmy, you and your family should have applied for the 600 visa and paid AUD570

Not really, if not in a hurry and happy to provide your entire financial history, I think the ETA is still the cheaper way to go.

Hopefully, there’ll be fewer plane jumpers from Malaysia and we’ll be green lighted for easy ETA approvals in the future

what about high blood pressure medication pills? My doctor did write up the presciption but need to declare?

Honestly, you’ll be fine with medications for personal use in amounts less than 3 months.

Yes, it’s better to declare if in doubt. I have taken in many food products (with proper packaging and labelling) eg keropok, peppers, curry paste etc. Never have any issues, they didn’t even ask me to open my bags to check those declared items, just ticked and waved through. Go watch Australian borders security at YT to get a better understanding of what you can bring or cannot bring
*
Border security can be a bit racist one… Chinese are usually portrayed as smugglers of food items, Vietnamese and Thais are often shown to be drug smugglers as is anyone of South American and/or African origins.

Malaysians have been shown to be potential airplane jumping illegal fruit pickers.

AMDK usually light “crimes” like weed from Bali or Thailand visit. AMDK are the most suci murni species on beautiful Mother Earth.

ABS profiling can be quite accurate to a certain degree. The kind of “fresh/wet” food Asians brought in is just plain ridiculous because you can definitely find them in Aus albeit at a higher price. Next round I am going to bring in ikan bilis and udang kering (vacuum packed). Sure can find in Aus but their qualities suck.
*
That one no issue. Just declare and you’ll be ok.

Best thing. NOTHING. No issues. First and only application. Wife rejected first within 72 hrs. New one took 1 week. At least if i'm rejected with an error i understand. Just left me pending for 3 weeks... 🤔

But OK la… in the end you still got it. Enjoy your holiday mate

OMG! I just studied the CBD Parking areas for Brisbane's Queens Street Mall... you're not kidding! Better just pay a taxi instead! And here i was thought renting a car was cheaper.. those parking rates.. dear god man! that's a whole F-ing alternate budget!
*
You could try off street parking. After certain hours, it’s free but increasingly rare in CBD areas now

You can book parking in advance thru the Wilson Parking App - it’s cheaper but still not cheap
