Just go to the immi portal and submit all the required documents and you shall get your visa within 3 workind days

but .... if u plan to skip some of the required documents then get ready for longer processing period or rejected visa

Sigh. So troublesome. Wifey converted to Singapore passport decades ago and her Australian PR application was so much simpler than mine and even her application for visitor visas prior to us obtaining our PRs was so much simpler.

I remember the Australians wanting to see my bank statements and how much savings I had.

yes freaking troublesome

most of my frens were complaining during the early stages, all visas kena reject
some own properties in Aussie also kena reject, luff die me

others told me Aussie gov has more details of their financial status than our own LHDN hahahahah

That was right after opening up after Covid restrictions.
Nowadays, it's gotten much easier.

First, it's ETA not visa. Visa is 200 aud and need to take picture etc. ETA only $20 and USED TO BE instant for Malaysian, becasue it's supposed to be like the white card you fill in to Singapore. Singapore still instant without supporting docs, but guess why Msia need now? Jokers abuse the visa free policy for Msia to jump aeroplane and be bangla, so now everyone else suffer.

Family members or not no difference. It's your age profile. Your parents got approved because they old so Aus gov assume they are less risky of overstaying aka jump aeroplane. If you 20s-40s Aus gov would need proof that you will come back to Malaysia and not jump aeroplane. Don't simply say things when you don't understand.

This.

Last I applied ETA it took 2 months but that was in late 2021- 2022 when AU borders opened up.

Now I'm unsure. Keeping check in this thread also.

I'm gonna apply my ETA tomorrow. Need to travel in November. Just apply and wait.

Sorry to ask, but I thought Malaysians are entitled to ETA?

I’m still on my Malaysian passport but because I’m an Australian PR, visas don’t apply to me, so I tumpang tanya, thanks

I age 33 with no prior entry record to Australia.
Submitted my ETA and got the approval email within minutes.

I don't think is age profiling.

None. I applied for skilled independent visa as. Malaysian citizen, Singaporean PR (hence needed police cheeks and clearances from both countries). Mine was the old 175, if I’m not mistaken.

I have a licence as a recognised specialist in Australia and coupled with my PR status, that allows me to run my practice on a part time basis whenever I’m back in Sydney every alternate month. My main practice is still in Singapore.

i have been to australia multiple times with instant approval for ETA before covid. then last year apply again and they require submit attachments, etc

all in all, took me 6 weeks from 1st day of applying until approval.

so u just need to wait only. if you buy flight ticket but ETA rejected then you even rugi more

If you never been to AU don’t comment. Very naive to say they don’t need visitors

They are very very tourist friendly with lots of facilities cater to this lucrative market

The reason they reject Malaysian visa applicants because we have bad history of Malaysian never return after their visit aka “jump aeroplane”. That’s all

forgive this guy, he have the most ridiculous comment all time, all best on his imaginary experience.
