Elitegroup Computer Systems has officially unveiled the ECS G10IL mini-notebooks, featuring the Intel Atom "Diamondville" processor, 8.2-inch and 10.2-inch displays, and mobile broadband (HSPA) connectivity.
The "Diamondville" is Intel's upcoming single core Atom CPU, designed for use in UMPCs, MIDs, and small laptops. In the ECS G10IL, it is accompanied by the Intel 945 GSE chipset, up to 2GB of system memory, and a hard drive or solid state drive, depending on model.
According to the press release, HSPA (HSDPA/HSUPA) mobile broadband technology, built into the G10IL allows downloads speeds of up to 7.2Mb/s for the HSDPA and 2Mb/s for the HSUPA.
