The newer z900 might have a problem with riser because tft screen over the handlebar but the old one with lcd should be fine I guess? Similar dashboard with latest z250

There are other options..like changing to a high rise handlebar. But for the z900, the cables/hoses are too short.

naah...previous z900 also has the dash over thee handlebar.

but u can find videeos of people installing the risers on youtube.

I see handlebar risers are a super common accessory installed for Cb650r owners but might need to get creative on the cable routing.

I refuel usually once a week, but my daily commute is only 20km per day excluding my trip for lunch which varies

The max I've fueled up is 11.2L, the bike got a fuel gauge, distance to empty and 2 levels of low fuel warning



Long distance also sure will stop and have a break ma, just refuel at everytime you take a break lor

How many km you get from it?

200km for 17L, must be riding pretty hardcore

I get around 170km per tank for normal commute riding.

If I'm not wrong Only the last batch of z800 have abs.

Z800 is heavy, 230kg++ and it's top heavy. Difficult to ride as a street bike.

On my dominar, the low fuel light comes on early with about 2.5-3L of fuel remaining, so for my usual fill up is 20rm or about 9.6L (published tank size is 13L)

At speed about 160-170km@10L (130-140kmh cruising with some "Italian tune up" bursts up to 160) highway
Taken at a more pedestrian pace, 220km@10L

Highway at speed is a bit annoying though. I can't make it back to Ipoh from KL without the fuel light flashing after tapah. I can certainly do a 2 hour ride without stopping if not for the range anxiety once the fuel warning lights up.

Now I just do 110-120 just to make it back without stopping for fuel. Factor in time spent fueling up, there is no time saving by going faster.

That said, I was hoping the Dominar was a bit more frugal on fuel though, given it's a single cyc.

Because D400 has 13.5l but 3.5l is reserve. So in actual we have 10l only hahahaha

Surprised it's that bad, what you're saying is that it's around 16-17km/l if you're doing high speed cruising and 22km/l when riding conservatively. My Katana I get around 15-16km/l when ridden harder and 17-18km/l when riding conservatively. Considering I have 3 extra cylinders and more than double the cc, the dominar fc is kinda bad. I think the cb500x trumps it?

When blinks mean refuel how many liters? I was under the impression 230km and refuel 17L which gives a fuel efficiency of 13.3km/l which is pretty horrible

140km a day, I suggest Z650, best value bike out there. Work hours usually very jam, a heavy/big bike is hard to cilok and dangerous.

A Z650 is the size of a 250 with the power of 650. Comfortable sitting position, low seat height for easy stop-n-go situation in peak hours, can even go touring on it comfortably.

I personally think Z650 is underrated as on paper it has nothing impressive, but you get good predictable power throughout all RPM. 0 to 100 in 4 seconds, and if you want to ride to work on highway comfortably at 150km/h it's not a problem. ZX25R and 250cc can go 150 also but the difference is they have no pull at those speeds and you need to wait. A Z650 still pulls good at 150 up to 180.

I recommend Kawa instead of chinese bikes cos they have better 2nd hand value, and easier to find accessories. Chinese bikes on spec is good, price also good, but very hard to sell later on, and honestly speaking, chinese bike no matter what spec brembo and 4 cylinder, people also don't respect. I know we shouldn't judge, I'm just saying this is the reality, they are pretty uncool. If you are happy with it, don't care what others think.

Please update us what u got, either way the best bike is the bike u buy.

Zx25R owner here. if you are going to use it as a daily driver at a distance of 140km++ then you are better off with a bike that has a upright riding position. i use mine as a daily driver at distance of 23km++ one way and all i can say is that riding to and from work is fun. I am going to test it for long distance run this Dec 18 to Perlis and will update here later. Oh yeah almost forgot to mention. Fuel Economy is based on how much you speed on the bike.

at 140km daily if you still want your back then get a proper upright sitting bike

Actually it is not the back that is the issue on sports bikes. I own a Benelli Leoncino 250 and from a Naked to a sports bike riding position of course different. On the naked my lower back hurts but on the ZX25R my shoulders and wrist hurt back is totally fine.
