I guess you are comparing them because they are both 4 cylinders engine + similar price but this isn't a fair comparison IMO..

One is sportbike the other is naked bike
Whats your preference? Where are you going to use this bike?
Really depends on you the rider, can't simply say 'this one better'

But of course modenasaki is more reputable laugh.gif

I'm planning to ride to work 140km everyday but don't know which to choose because both bike are very good. mega_shok.gif

zx25r also have extra features like Kawasaki Traction Control, Kawasaki Intelligent ABS, Kawasaki Quick Shifter.

maintenance wise both I think the same because 4 cylinder.

Does it really have to be 4 cylinder?
You have other option like z650 at that price point

Suggest you test the bikes first, mind you that zx25r is still a 250cc bike.
Even with 4 cylinders it is still a small engine with low amount of torque

Whichever you choose, ride safely. Don't let the exhilarating joy of speed gets the better of you.

140km distance is quite alot for a bike, use car safer?

Need consider ergo dynamic and fatique for long ride position,
HP naked bike better in speed, but do they have safety feature like dual abs traction control etc?
and your licence for bike is b full? If not you restricted for 250cc.

SRK600 is the TNT600 with new plastics & digital dash. Used to ride the TNT600 to work and it was on the heavy side of things. This one looks like it's even heavier still...!!

140km/day commute. EVERY DAY.

I suggest getting something more comfortable.

The zx25r is a good bike. But probably not suitable for this instance. It's a high strung motor....fun to wind it up in the corners or straights...
But very weak bottom end torque when riding on the street.

You are not that far off from a z650. Price difference is 2k. Also with traction control, abs etc. The Kawa twin is a known reliable unit and good on fuel. It's not too heavy and have a more relaxed riding ergonomics.

this will be my first 4 cylinder bike because I like the sound it produces.

my friend said srk600 isn't very comfortable for long distances because of heat of the engine feel at the rider thigh, but still more powerful bike than the zx25r.

I choose bike to avoid traffic congestion.

yes my license is b full

yes both bike have abs but zx25r have more feature like traction control and quick shifting.

I like the sound inline 4 but these two are the cheapest one available

try considering used bike also..
you can find some used bike with abs also like z900, gsx-s750 or cb650r

I saw a guy selling used gsx-s750 at fb for around 38k

want below 30k you can get gsr750, z800, xj6 and cb650f

How does ur friend know? He owns one?

I ride a z900 n afaik nakeds dont dump heat onto the legs coz theres no fairings to guide the air to the legs.

Sport bikes with fairings just might coz the fairing limits the direction of airflow...which is directly to the legs

Anyway, for ur distance of commuting, trust me...he bigger the engine the better..

I went from kapcai to z250 to z900....same distance (33km each way) n every upgrade made a difference.. less tired when reaching...ur 140km will be exhausting.

Id really recommend going with one of the japanese bikes but higher cc.

Used z800 super bang for bucks yo! For the commuting you are doing the z800’s weight is an advantage. And you get 4 dapur. And >100bhp. And it’s a real Kawasaki not Modenasaki.

yeah I might pick used z900 because z800 lack of abs, its better safe than sorry... I'm traumatized when it comes to slippery road.
