Anybody have any idea what's the backstory about?

I mean I don't really get the story although I am pretty early in the game.

Fighting some locust thingie that comes out from the ground just doesn't make lotsa senses without much background story.

This is what i got from playing a few chapters so far.

At the start of the game, it would have been 14 years since Emergence Day, or the coming of the Locust hell bent on the destruction of the earth. Marcus Fenix is held in prison because of some trial that ensued years ago. The Locust is led by this General RAAM, and you'll be kicking his @$$ later. The current mission would be to get a resonator that would blow up the Locust underground and win the war.

I think at the end there might be some plot twists. I'm not sure. But thats what I got so far.

And i am seriously getting more frustrated with this game. Hoping that M$ hurries up the fix. Or else, its refund time and a whole of bashings.

Did u have to unistall Kaspersky? Can't just don't load it on start up?

Feel quite exposed and vunerable without antivirus scanner.

u still dont get him ..i think he mean say <your message> .. not say your message and it'll appear your message on the screen

I was still going for tests and see what i could do with various settings to play GoW PC.

After numerous checks, i uninstalled Kaspersky and no crashes ever since. Turning off P2P helped stabilize my Live connection summore. I even had my 1st time playing multiplayer. Sadly, only 8 people were playing.

bought the ori game yesterday
damn long installation
start the game witin 1 min crash and get message GOW has stop working (using vista)
download latest graphic driver
uninstall game
reinstall GOW
same thing happen
frustrated liao
search other forums
try running the game as administrator
so far the game is running fine
audio sumtimes is stuttering though
if knew so many problems wud have gotten CRYSIS

w00t!!!.. finally finished this game liaoz.. lol.. after 2weeks+, taking my time playing and trying the alternate routes...

Sweet.. violence in the game.. hehehe esp. the chainsaw... AAaaah.. reminds me of good old "doom chainsaw" days.. lol


ARrrrghh.. pretty hard to kill tis one... kana "berkecai" a few times...


Overall, sweet gfx altho imo too much "bloom" effects... and storyline pretty cool esp. yer teammates making some (corny) jokes.. lol
