Many rm200 at shopee at lazada mention support 5G is fake.. so misleading.. dont buy it or you will regret later.. the cheapest and decent one i recommended is Four Faith / Yeacomm that around rm950~1000. can get up to 1Gbps if the signal strong enough in your area.. mine always at 500~600mbps at 3 bar signal..

Its just a calculation.. not really capped at 33GB per day.. use as much as you like as long as not exceed 1TB in 1 month.. for tv box not a problem if connection in your place not just fast but stable.. for 4K streaming, adviseable speed around 50mbps..

Here are the 5G modems they recommend. But any 4G/5G modem is fine, including Mod* Modem.

I see a "Y510" one which seems to be around rm600 and has 5G
But using Unisoc chip

The rm200 ones are fake
Friend of mine has one
It doesn't even do 5Ghz wifi, so there's no reason for "5G" to be on there

If you on a tight budget then you can consider much cheaper modem like Unicom VN007+ or Quantum H188.. price range from rm600~800.. but the speed can’t go up to 1Gbps.. mostly around 400~500mbps max..

Maybe not with DNB's Ericsson equipment but once the 2nd 5G network starts using Huawei equipment, these China chipsets might gain the upperhand with compatibility in future.

I am thinking about replacing unifi 100mbps to Umobile 5g , since high chance to have higher speed for less.

1. I tested the line on iPhone , seem 5g only work outdoor / open window. Do you all place the modem indoor or using outdoor external antenna ?

2. Seem my housing area have max speed around 300+mbps , but at some area (near kl) I manage to get 1gbps, so 5g is cell tower speed dependent on max speed ?

I tried with my Samsung A53 with Yes 5G, speed test from the phone around 500-700Mbps, when share using USB tethering speed become 300-400Mbps around due to USB 2.0 speed limitation.

I placed my phone in my upper living room, 5G signal strength depends the distance between your home to the DNB tower..

Almost all mobile network provides only private IP/NAT to consumers.

Unless they have special arrangement such as a fixed wireless broadband solution,

actually, yes and no to the 5G signal strength, I got 5 bar 5g, I get 300mbps, but if I have 3 bar, I still reach the same speed (tested by phone).
Might mean, 300mbps is easily minimum speed of the 5G signal.

well still work out cheaper than Unifi.
