Today recieved above 5G CPE，cost me RM975. Tested on my umbile 5G broadband package，max download speed around 550mbps and upload speed around 115mbps. No mod or what ever hack been done on the CPE.

I can only get around 490mbps with phone poco f3
Planning to get a modem too

I also own POCO F3，before purchase the modem，I use phone to test。Both the result about the same.btw，my 5G signal not strong，3 bar only，I think this is why it cannot go beyond 600mbps.

Tested using Poco F3, 2bar signal get ~400Mbps, most time is 4G+ (B3) can get ~ >100Mbps, Try using Y510 router, but signal too weak to catch any 5G signal, B3 signal only get ~20Mbps...

Mine too 3 bar only. But this evening for a short time i got 4 bar, immediately test and got around 600mbps below..

So the modem is good yeah?

So far OK all，not undergo extensive test yet. I need 1-2 weeks to check if is stable. Also need to explore the configurations，but a quick glance when I changed the default password，looks like it provide lock band feature and support zerotier。

The UI also provide functionality to change IMEI and TTY。

4.2k from Netgear Malaysia holy sh*t and I thought the 1.5k recommendation from UM was expensive af
Most expensive I spend on router/wifi was RM400+ that was before YB Gobind era & last year RM500+ to mesh the whole office.

True, currently all 5G modem router are expensive. This was why I bought from Taobao.

Likely that Malaysia product certification is very expensive

Dam 4.2k is really expensive
And I thought something like a Mikrotik Chateu 5G ax was expensive at nearly 3k
(and that one has far more advanced settings)

RM1k is normal price for new generation G device
few years back huawei b618-65 is RM1k

eon ago year 2008 1st gen 3.6mbps 3G device price RM700 ~ RM1k huawei E220, sierra wireless pcmcia, option express card
with RM68 4GB (or is 8GB ) celcom wireless broadband 'unlimited' internet plan

That's a lot of difference, seems like Poco F3 more reliable

I am new to 5g, does rain = no 5g? seem to drop signal from 5 bar to 1 bar, 300mbps to 30mbps?

suddenly Astro ads ring a bell, while Astro used to have no signal during rain.
Now 5g turn to die while raining.

I been using ZTE MC801A + u mobile postpaid plan of 98 (unlimited hotspot device + 1TB )previously as alternative due to the unifi port full in my area. Average download / upload around 250-300mbps / 75mpbs.

I would say it highly depends on the 5G signal. I managed to find a spot in my house, a particular wall that give me quite consistent experience. Plug that into the mesh and it works seamlessly.

In fact, I am selling off the ZTE MC801A as I have gotten the port, so let me know if any of you interested.

yes rain can effect the signal.

4G is unlimited forever?

More updates on this 5G CPE I bought from Taobao directly:
1. Form the IMEI check, the modem modules is QUECTEL RM520N-GL. GL means global version, cover mostly all the 5G/4G bands. From another forum somebody slot this module into Mikrotik router and it works fine with Router OS.
3. The SOC part of this modem is from MediaTek
4. The brand is WEYCH or in Chinese 小曼联网 （From box packaging）

Tested during rain yet?
