not vaccine make eczema worse, but vacinne might cause your immune system become more sensitive and easy to trigger when kena allergy.

how's your eczema condition now?

i never have eczema in my life before until 2 months after the booster shot. i went to private clinic doctor gave me various type of ointments also not working and until the 3rd consultation, the doctor prescribed an antibiotic called augmentin 625mg and finally it was under controlled.

fast forward 6 months later, it comes back slowly. i went to klinik kesihatan and the doctor straight away issued me letter to go klinik dermatologi hospital kl. 3 months treatment using glycerine cream and 0.05% betamethasone cream. it works to surpress but not working when the eczema flare up even the doctor increased the dosage to 0.1% betamethasone for the flare. i can't tahan the flare and i went to another private clinic and the doctor agreed to prescribe the same antibiotic for me and the flare gone. i don't know how long it can last but at least i have an option to get rid the flare in short time.

i accept the fact that there will be no completely cure for eczema and it will come back to haunt me again and again, but i will try my best to fight it so that the eczema won't serious until affect my mental health.

Maybe my old thread on eczema can help u.

Where exactly are your rashes? I realise mine on the hand and when it flares, the usual steroid cream doesnt work anymore.

mine starts from legs.

hands got previously but gone gradually.

my last visit to private clinic that doctor said the steroid cream works to supress but doesn't make it go away temporary.

he offered me either mix the steroid cream with antiseptic cream, or prescribe the same augmentin antibiotic for me, i chose the latter for fast result. 1 box augmentin with 14 tablets for 7 days. 3rd day can see the flare gone significantly.

but the doctor got warn me not to rely on the same antibiotic too frequent, later become not effective anymore.

oh ya…forgot there is a new med to treat eczema.

i saw from US tv ad, and i asked hospital kl doctor about this med, he said this med just reached hospital kl last month and reserved for those severe condition eczema patient.

doctor told me the price for one month supply is about rm5k, and the website says normally need 16 weeks.

if you can afford then can have a look:

I thought ecxema is about trigger etc, not about infection. Why do you get antibiotics?

eczema can categorized into many other conditions, is better to get consultation from doctor instead of getting advice here, it may make your condition worst. There are different type of steroid cream in the market, simply applied those medication will make your treatment become more complicated in the future.
Is better to go to klinik kesihatan (need to go a few times), cause the types of medicine (more stronger) will be given to treat your condition whenver you revisit. They will not one shot gave you the strongest medicine, for example the steroid cream will make you skin thinner, there are a lot side effect for these cream, so normally they will give you mild one instead of the strong one. If it does not work, they will refer you to specialist in general hospital.
Imagine if you go to private hospital and visit it many times, it will cost you a lot $$$. For serious skin treatment, normally you need to always revisit...
Normally the treatment include applied the steroid cream and even consume orally.
The first attempt from the doctor will to relief the Itching and inflammation.
The steroid treatment may make your skin dry and the color of your skin will also looks different. Then they will let you applied another cream(not steroid) to make it hydrated. Take note that the steroid cream can't be applied for long term due to the side effect, I will still strongly suggest you get advice from doctor.

This might be wrong, but no harm (I hope).

I had a colleague many years back who had an eczema problem. He got it under control by using anti dandruff shampoo to replace his regular shampoo.

Again, sos is mapren so YMMV, but hey it's only a few ringgit a bottle so ...

He had eczema on his scalp? Could be Psoriasis because psoriasis can occur on scalp as well. Or maybe simple allergy since he had everything under control after changing anti dandruff shampoo.

I am the "lucky" one to have both Eczema and Psoriasis ( mild to moderate ) and had been on a lot of different topical corticosteroids , but these do not treat the root of the issue.

Eventually you will have to move up in terms of strength of the topical applications and side effects will become worst as skin thins .

I tried alot of food related and cleanliness related changes like cutting down on artificial sugar , less eggs , no seafood , more frequent bed cover changes , specialised gentle soaps and etc , but the one thing i started doing that "cured" me is actually just exercising regularly .

I have been running and exercising every single day for over a year now , guess what ? Coincidentally , i have not experienced a flare up in the same time frame .

Congratulations!
Lucky me, my mode of treatment fully cured and can enjoy coffee, spicy food, did not have to fly there and cost less.

AndyNg38 also stated what most sufferers experience that is doctor's cannot cure eczema, but AndyNg38 and I are cured.
Some doctors do not understand what they are doing, but act as if they know everything since they graduated.
I was helped by selected doctors before on other issues, but overall, doctors are right occassionally. Evidence are the list of eczema sufferers here.

As I stated in post #52, if doctors failed you and still in agony of eczema, I can recommend a specialist, no injection, pills or cream, & be free from eczema - PM me.

Since you are allergic to dust then it will benefit your breathing.
(why ask in eczema topic .... I dont understand. If you want to treat eczema, you can PM your location and I may recommend a specialist, but not cheap, not easy to do, and not easily available, although the result can last a lifetime, at least for me.)
*
I don't see any problem of him/her asking here
This is platform of sharing and this topic is about eczema
based on Google, dust mite allergens or contact may trigger allergic conditions such as eczema
and some ppl might suffer from the same trigger and recover after using air purifier
Stop your judgement
People are trying to get info here
If you don't know any air purifier brand to recommend you can just stfu and swipe away

Also worth considering investing in air purifier as it really helps minimise dust mites, germs and tiny particles dirt

May I know which air purifier are you using? I'm also looking to reduce the dust mites and particles and see if can improve my condition.

I used to have terrible eczema on my chest and arms

went to see specialist, tried all sorts of cream, medicine, steroids etc

All either work a bit/temporarily or didnt work at all

Then, last year I retired. The eczema retired too.

So in conclusion, very likely work-stress related.

Go consult Dr Wong at Tangkak. Find out what allergen triggers your eczema.
My gf's was due to yeast and anti-bacterial body shampoo.

Did you sleep longer/better? I find that if I sleep 5-7 hrs, my eczema will subside. Felt like my liver's not working without enough sleep sweat.gif
