Good on you.... I need to recheck if there is extra charges for it and let you know, but I did get a verbal confirmation in regards to this....

is it possible to downgrade for maxissbb?
currently i subscribed to power package but apparently the best speed i could get is 3G speed only eventhough the status indicates that the modem is connected to HSDPA network...
during the first 2 months i managed to get HSDPA speed like 2-3 times....but not anymore...i did some tests on the speed various times and never exceeded 3G speed.
i plan to downgrade to rm68/basic package now..waste of money paying rm103 per month but only managed to get 3G speed.
supposedly my area has a stable HSDPA network since the modem always connected to HSDPA network...

If your area is covered in the "HSDPA" area, then you should hav a case to argue. Otherwise, I dun think they will downgrade for you....

Does anyone here know if I can put my MaxisBB plan as a subline under my existing 012 post-paid package?

Previously we have a MaxisBB dealer here in LYN. Does anyone know who is he?

If he is reading this, please advise if that can be done.

Thanks.

Yes , how did you downgrade your package cause I am thinking of downgrading to RM 68 cause thats enough for their faces !. Seriously , now it sucks big time....But on the other hand the I2G package looks good , consistent speed even though they are connected to the same tower

Maybe you need to take a drive to KLCC to try your luck, who knows, you might get lucky. I2G is strongly recommended as I'm still enjoying great speed. Very stable connection. But a piece of advice, try to get a compatible modem with attached antenna unlike mine sad.gif .

Switch from MaxisBB to I2G? doubt it as I2G is not contract and you can cancel it in the 2nd month.... But hey, worth a tinker, maybe Maxis decided not to be BUAYA anymore and start to behave in 2008 icon_idea.gif ....... hmm.gif ..... doubt it.... unsure.gif

Well I've not touch more than 3mbps yet but the speed ranges from 1.2mbps to 2.5mbps on the average.... just make sure other 3G device are put away from your pc... somehow the devices are grabbing the signal... my signal drops to 1 bar if my 3G phone is next to it.... if i receive a 3G call, it drops to 1 bar only!!!....
