Seems like it has been pushed back into Development Hell.

I think most project development are kinda hold, kiv, pending for year 2025 and most told only will be a major at 2026 instead. Not sure how truth is that.

My buddies who come from contractor basis and join baju kuning as contract staff all are at hot seat for their contract renewal. Cz of above, they kinda give hint to letgo them first starting 1st quarter next year.

Is baju kuning short of CAPEX money and wanting to see how things pan out with Petros 1st before investing again in 2026 onwards. That seems like reasonable assumption.

Petronas is losing "aggregator" monopoly (Offshore Gas Feed Kartel) for Sarawak water, and their margin are greatly affected. Hence, retrenchment by PCSB Miri Office are imminent on Q1 2025.

Ironically, Sarawakians could be amongst the Pet Miri staff to be let off.

Currently, Petros for E&P division, operating as NOV basis, except for subsidiaries like Petros Niaga, Petros Gas (?), and Petros Power, yes full fledge Sarawakians are needed.

Well let’s put LL on the back burner for a year. I imagine the company hopes the costs of the LL development will be less than the present one when they have done the re FEED to reduce costs. But one year inflation will creep in though.

Realistically, are they expecting to staff Petros with 100% Sarawakians? There will be no expats? I don’t think so.

Petronas doing it with a lot lesser expat these days, so just need to hire Petronas folks.

Well, I have a mixed opinion on Petros, since I am a Sarawakian, of course my weight Godzilla support towards Petros, to quote unquote my previous statement at other post - I am a Malaysian first, Sarawakian second.
