Will this affect Jerun development?

Hess assets at Bergading & North Malay Basin, seems that Chevron is cleared by US Securities Exchange SEC and ExxonMobil does not invoke the first right refusal for Hess involvement at Guyana.

Chevron take over whole Hess assets.

I think. Sekadar pendapat palatao palatao sahaja. Hehe.

Guessing Chevron may want to leave north malay basin as it is smaller portfolio and they are not presently available in Msia. Maybe PTT and Petronas i.e. CPOC will own remaining JDA

With Exxon and Petrofac handover to Petronas and Hess case now. 2025 market maybe flooded with engineers from Operator side.

high time for client engineers to join FPSO contractor/operator, mostly could get better pay anyway

Hibiscus Petroleum could be interested in NMB if Chevron decides to exit Malaysia, due to NMB’s close proximity to its Northern Fields platforms. Its predecessor Talisman was the top PAC contender of the NMB fields but somehow they lost the bid to HESS.

And also Jadestone Energy might want to buy Bergading and NMB assets too.

Everyone is waiting for Kikeh FPSO replacement award, awaiting PTTEP greenlight, for Kikeh FPSO replacement there will be a separate PMT team. Watch out for my announcement because I have been following this Kikeh FPSO replacement since 5 years back hehehehehehehehehe (manpower supply is my forte)

I remember clearly, when Kikeh where under Murphy Oil, the floater and SPAR PMT's was being given 18 MONTH bonus because managed to complete the project ahead of schedule. Legendary bonus ever bruvvvv 18 MONTH worrrrr hahahaha

Tak percaya? Try ask around those otai involved in Kikeh SPAR & floater, ex SBM Offshore and MISC.

Kikeh FPSO replacement job isnt going to happen anytime soon. MISC swapped their stake in Mero 3 for FPSO Kikeh with SBM Offshore. The reason why they did this is quite simple ; to extend the current kikeh FPSO lease as long as possible. This is a well known knowledge in the market.

This is a win2 situation for both PTTEP & MISC in a sense that the capital expense can be kept minimal as much possible , without needing a new FPSO.

Murphy gave its fresh graduates the highest salary amongst oil&gas PACs beating the likes of Shell and Exxon, close to RM7k. But the company was also very ruthless and unmerciful when firing people.

True. Ruthless Murphy during 2014/2015 downturn and the retrenchment was 24hour notice... damn son...

Isnt Murphy is the one that lose a court case to employee for dismissal. Even Petronas has one as well.

As long as employer pay what is required by law there shouldnt bbe any problem.

Nowadays come out those "smaller" contractor who won the bidders, and they drop the prices. Few I know interview with them, get rejected due to salary, which even smaller than their current salary.

The previous well known, big contractor who not win any project started to letgo many projects team massively.

Smell another company following the case of TransFame company who cant survive doing project cz bidding low last time.

I heard all Exxon staff will receive nice VSS package so getting a job with Petronas will be a good bonus.

Well at least Petros-Petronas saga is closing, maybe it helps to clear out the uncertainties for the rest of Exxon and Petrofac later down 2025.

Very true.. it will be similar with big O&G client moving to smaller regional player and it will be same for EPC..
The rise of local players, drop prices, hiring with lower offer..
Employment market is bad, unless one is big bos of these smaller players.
