What's wrong with Kamille being emo? Note his background... He was pretty much neglected by his parents since small, no one taught him how to interact with people, he saw how bad his parents behaved towards each other; hence contributing towards his lack of socialising skills. Fa, despite being his childhood friend, didn't really click that well with him. The revelation of Quattro being Char didn't really help him either, since he found out that his supposed mentor was from the faction that started the war before. As the war went on, his comrades whom he cared for dropped dead one by one, forcing him to grow up and mature; yet I feel that deep down inside he's just suppressing his angst for the bigger picture. Don't forget how pissed he was when Katz acted like a brat and wanted to go after Sarah, hence endangering himself and possibly the Argama crew.

Only Four was on the same wavelength as him since they both suffered from the same dilemma - someone who was pretty much exiled from their surroundings, and had angst and apprehension about their own existence. Therefore it's easy to comprehend why both of them clicked instantly. A bit repetitive like Lalah and Amuro, and both were ended up as tragedies.

He did. Smacked his own face into an asteroid and kaboom.

We have to thank Gundam 00 for making our thread alive again.

Emo or not, it's ok as long as it's done appropriately. I'd take emo kids over emotionLESS robots (read GSD Kira, Trowa) anyday. Even Heero's humanity came back during the final parts of GW.

If u have look carefully on those oldschool type gundam story, you will notice a lot of character building! How they turn mature and how they choose their action. Amuro a kid who got in a gundam and battle his way through the battlefield.....killing the person he care most.

Char, a prince from of the Zeon, fight for his family end up losing war. In Zeta he changed his name and really tried to help release the ppl from the Titans, end up killed by old Zeon folks (he manage to survive). Gave up on humanity and wanted to teach human race a lesson, a lesson so big that future ppl wont do the same thing again - trash earth with a huge meteor base!

Kamile, a kid in the neighborhood that has bad childhood! Wanted to show his hate against his parents and all the grows up around him. Then later becomes someone that want to safe weaker ppl! Later want to protect almost everyone that he cares! End up like a feelingless after the last fight in Zeta Gundam, and in ZZ gundam returns and become more mature!

Lot lot more character building! However for the 3 ori UC story ZZ gundam was the worse.
