From your statement it looks like you had only watch Gundam Seed and Destiny.. as UC gundam isnt like this all the time..

How do you know?? How can you be so sure? Can you trust the figures given in books?

Not everyone is like the US army who display all their l337 stuff on public TV. Most fully develop nations are cooking up something but aint telling no one.

China military strength is also very strong! They can also blow down a satellite. But most likely they wont announce all their weapon!

The UC gundam universe was much better than the recent ones I know, but the problem is, that this new Gundam series does look like it's going to turn out like the past two gundams which to me was utter bull crap. Oh yeah, and G Gundam can suck my mother garlock balls.
The animation's getting better, but the story is getting worst... it's getting so repetitive to the point where I could've not wasted 25 hours of my life watching Gundam Seed Destiny because it was basically a weird reverse version of Gundam Seed.
Heed this warning my fellow friends, awesome mecha does not make up for bad scripting, take for example Kannazuki No Miko, oh wait... that sucked in both aspects.

The original Gandam is the best

If you watch both UC and Seed, you will find that they are actually the same thing, , well, anime nowadays tend to use little kids as the heroes, ( not just gundam ), probably the anime is aim for kids that age.

Anyway, the UC one is not ( Mostly, some are exception like Gundam V )

But as you watch it, you will find that UC involve politics, human behaviour, not just Rage ( like Gundam Seed ) and UC more realistic

Sooo, do try UC before you try Seed.

I only like the short OVAs from UC. The long tv series are too "retro" and cheesy for my liking. That said, I haven't finished Zeta yet and will probably never. I think i should just watch the movies.

too bad, some people after watch Seed series, they don't want to watch UC cause the graphic quality is not that good.
sigh.. they miss the glory of UC.

Seed was the death of the uber l33+ gundam story of yesteryears. And it made matters worse when newbie fans watch seed, and think all gundam was the same. I fail to see what Seed did except using uber emo kids to pilot a giant mecha to their death.

Haha, go to agree with the bit about the pilots in most of SEED (all the awesome ones went to the Astray mangas).

Too bad a lot of people saying that 00 will be Wing 2.0.

IMHO, Amuro and Kamille was equally if not more emo than Kira and Shinn.

The character motivations were very facepalm.jpg as well.

to me, watching Gundam was a form of release tension. just enjoy them happily be it bad or not.
why so particular about realism. u know its a fiction anyway.

But i found out that Char seem to be the most famous character in UC! He nvr pilot a gundam (is Hyakushnki a Gundam?), he acts cool and great piloting skill! And wat more he is the guy tat inspire Zench (W Gundam) to used the giant ship to knock earth!
I am also a fan of Char!

Nah, IMHO Kamille was actually right in being emo, because he knew that the war they have been fighting all these times only revolves around 2 people (Amuro and Char...that is why he went to the extent of punching Char and stuff, AFAIK), in other words, this war is only a farce.

THAT, is the right kind of emo, not teenage angst emo.

LOL....sexually....i guess they're just moving with the times. You know what they say, a woman can make a man to do the greatest or most obscene things. Last time, post WW2 era japanese talking about pacifism vs warmongers thus apathetic spacenoids like Kamille vs revolutionists like Char and warmongers like Schizziro whateverhisnamewas in TITANS.

Kamille's emo-ness is more like "I dun fckin care about TITANS, AEUG and the rest of the world....stupid grown ups....stupid wars....I want my peaceful life back. OH FCK.....TITANS killing ppl....I must stop them.....NUOOO.....WHY MUST WE FIGHT EACH OTHER?" The focus of his emo changed from revenge for his mom into.....i dunno.....convulated at this point.

Refer to above reply about Kamille. For one, the war never revolved around Amuro and Char. It was more like....TITANS were being too oppresive (America) and AEUG was against their iron-fist-rule.

Amuro and Char are just "has-been-newtypes". Old foggies who can't forget the battlefield. Anyway i haven't watched Char's Counter Attack so dunno what happened until they fight each other again.
