My advice is to stop caring about what people think about what you drive

Buy according to your purpose and budget. Done

Besides, what status you want to generate with a veloz or alza??

My friend just want a family car as I told her I already booked an Alza as I don’t need a expensive car for my daily routine use to work. But she feel Veloz seems slightly more better look and quality than the alza

Dear Sifu,
Is Toyota Veloz suitable for T20 (Manager level)?
My friend planned to buy New Alza but then feel her colleague will comments a lot so wanted to buy Toyota Veloz. But I feel the both cars suitable to T20 group as well...
Furthermore, the waiting time for New Alza also much more longer than Toyota Veloz now.

Please advice.

go test drive between veloz and alza and feel any different or not.

Lol dun state which income group you’re from then.

Just state your budget you’re comfortable with.

And judging from your concern here in this thread, Veloz is indeed suitable for you.

If really want a better ride than Alza, test drive Corolla Cross.
Btw, manager usually not T20 level ya

No one is going to think your friend comes from a higher class from driving a Veloz. Neither does this really matter unless your friend is conscious about brand image.

If compare using CarBase, there are some notable differences.

- 5 year Unlimited mileage warranty instead of 150,000 km
- Scheduled service in Toyota instead of Perodua service centres
- Wider tyres
- Stock rims larger by 1"
- *Daytime running lights (DRL)
- Climate control instead of manual A/C
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay instead of wired only
- 30 mm additional ground clearance
- Additional exterior chrome bits here and there
- More subdued but matured interior color choice
- Telescopic steering

*Can be added to Alza via GearUp Prime bodykit

The RM20k difference is somewhat justified. However, none of those points above will significantly affect the driving and ownership experience. I'd say that the DRL is the biggest feature I will miss, and yet this problem already has a solution through the bodykits.

Better still, just avoid both if he/she is truly T20 and can afford more expensive cars. Not many choices if he/she insists on a 7-seater though. I could only name these few:

- CX-8 higher variants with the complete ADAS suite including ACC
- Santa Fe
- Tiggo 8 Pro (pricing not available yet)

Same number of airbags.
Different names for the ADAS, but they both tick the same amount of boxes in terms of the features they provide.

Or even Cx8, CRV, Harrier etc? Elite?

TS, please don’t syok sendiri la, it’s still a below 100k car. Very far away from T20
