I know that nobody cares about dxomark ranking anymore, but anyway it feels like Google back in the game with p7 since p2xl

QUOTE(cruzzmz @ Oct 13 2022, 05:38 PM) well maybe try your luck again next year ... after they release the Dec drop ... which the current QPR has volte support out of the box not sure the official one will still have it or not The feature may be added into the official one... But it's still depended on Telco providers to support it right? Since pixel is never officially released in Malaysia then it would need a lot of testing across the Malaysia Telco (Digi, Maxis, etc)Cause previously I was using an Android phone that officially supported volte (used some dialer code to verify) but wasn't on Digi supported list. As a result, no volte and caused a lot of frustration. |

Damn.pixel 7 pro is better than s22 ultra.low light video.low light zoom capablities.except strangely daylight s22u is better.
It makes s22u much inferior contender..more than iphone.except it cant beat iphone in low light video |

QUOTE(spayre @ Oct 13 2022, 05:33 PM) Was contemplating on pixel 7 pro (sg set)... however, the potential of no volte support (Digi network) made me resolved to not get it. I think they just announced today that volte will be supported from the p6 onwards. Saw it on one of the Facebook groupsI am aware that there are workaround, but it's too much of a hassle and unfortunately my area needs volte to receive calls indoor. Sigh, would love to experience the magic of google AI but volte support supercede it. |

I'm also planning to change to p7p from the "legendary" p4, LOL
The preliminary reviews in YT about the modem and battery seems promising. |

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Oct 13 2022, 10:03 PM) https://www.xda-developers.com/google-pixel...isplay-problem/ It's a hardware issue since the Pixel 7 pro's display is still using the old LTPO 1.0 display instead of 2.0. Doubt software will be able to fix this. What do you think? I think it's a small issue with potential fix Users shouldn't be worried if they don't use adaptive brightness outdoors (which cranks up the brightness to 1400 nits) for extensive period of time that heavily tank's the phone's battery life. From my experience using the Pixel 6 adjusting the manual brightness slider to 100% is sufficient or "good enough" to see what's on the screen. cruzzmz liked this post

Most likely able to secure units from SG.
The non-volte and non-5G confirmed? If confirmed, I won't even consider. Will not root or jailbreak the phone in any way. |

Or Google could just use software to limit the max allowable brightness to keep power consumption lowUsers shouldn't be worried if they don't use adaptive brightness outdoors (which cranks up the brightness to 1400 nits) for extensive period of time that heavily tank's the phone's battery life.
