QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 11 2025, 02:25 PM) I'm using P9, so far no heat issues. Wife had also updated her P7 to A16, later will ask her if her phone is getting hot or not. azrash liked this post

QUOTE(petrofsky77 @ Jun 11 2025, 11:12 AM) My Wife's phone is P7. She got the notif for the update as well, but she'll wait for me to come back home from work first to run it. So P7 series can get updates all the way until A17? Might get up to android 18, mighthttps://www.androidsage.com/2024/12/06/pixe...rs-exyended-os/ |

The closest alternative is to use Accubattery (need to charge from below 15% to Full (it's about 20-30 mins after 100%)Or use Battery Health by monospace, it will show battery cycles. These screenshots below are mine. Both app available on the Play Store I have also enabled battery health assistance and I noticed that my charging speed has been throttled down because my battery health has over 800 charging cycles. The good thing now is my phone doesn't get as hot as it was before when charging. The phone tells me that I need to change my battery. I am honestly still happy about the phone and I think the reduced charging speed is okay because it will mean a longer battery life over time and I will probably change it when it's really bad. Right now screen on time is about 6 hours ![]() ![]() ![]() QUOTE(hihihehe @ Jun 12 2025, 02:06 PM) i remember only P9 got the % Yes, you need to put it on a stable surface where the phone won't move at all and only then the mode will show up. I sometime use a small phone holder and that seems to work tooEDIT: The Pixel 8a and newer support a Battery health (Settings > Battery) feature that provides an “estimated percentage of [the] charge the battery can currently hold compared to a new standard battery.” Google notes how “Battery capacity decreases over time,” while the Charging optimization setting (Adaptive Charging or Limit to 80%) has been moved to the bottom of this page). btw, do we need tripod to capture Astrophotography? i tried to put on a stable surface but doesn't seem like work petrofsky77 and hihihehe liked this post
