As I understand it yes. In fact whenever Perodua change battery for you better double check with them that they remembered to reset the eco idle, my brother's Myvi they changed battery and forgot, in the end he had to visit again to fix it (FOC but waste time la).

Whereas when I change my Alza battery from another seller, cost me RM30 to reset it at Perodua.

but i wouldn't mind eco idle disabled, since this is a better way than the bypass cable - unless there's a downside that i'm missing here? (i.e: battery changed, eco idle disabled and theres some other side effect / downside)?

Well if you don't want it then I guess just disconnect the battery should work to achieve what you want? Not hard to test after all.

For me since the feature is there I prefer to have it, that's all.

Anyone else having problem with their engine vibrating more than usual. Other than that, if I turn on my AC it'll "kick in" the car a little bit. Lastly, when I shake the car from side to side I hear like something is hitting under the engine bay.

Definitely something is loose down there. I assume maybe engine mounts?

I also face a problem stated by a previous user that there's like a "guk guk" sound coming from the front of my car when driving over bumpy roads.

I told the mechanic on my previous last 2 routine maintenance at Perodua and they just tighten my "front right flange" or whatever that technical lingo is stated on my service invoice. But the problem still persist.

I'm going to show them the video with the hitting sound for them to check out what's going on under there.

Car has clocked in ~38K Km. Due for routine service by 40K Km

Hey there, what you explained is 95% what I described to my SC and also what I experienced. It's so similar it's mind boggling.

Yeah I did complain about this "kick in" everytime I turn on the A/C, got metallic sound hitting under the engine bay when I shake it from side to side, and I also literally say "guk guk" and in the official service record they stated "guk guk" too XD.

They stated the action taken was "tighten my right front flanges" or whatever tf is that, even Google's result is muddy. It fixed it, well, temporary. The guk guk didn't happen for a while then now it's back.

Went back to SC. Now they say it's suspension issue. Uhm OK? So they "did something" and still all the ac kick in problem, guk guk Problem still not fixed.

I'm pretty sure it has got to do with the engine mounts for the ac kick in Provlem and probably something loose for the clunking noise. But maybe they don't wanna work extra. Sorry, Idk what better words to use.

I just lived with it now. But well, atleast my fuel lid is fixed atleast, to a permanent degree of being fixed. It can be opened without having to pry it with a card or sth anymore. Not sure if it could come back. But so far so good. Been months it's been fixed and not stuck.

Really hope that my ac kick in, metallic clunking noise under the engine bay and also the guk guk noise can be solved and fix. Ik it doesn't affect much but the experience doesn't feel refined.

Just installed mine. Compared to the cheap one i have on another car, i believe the premium branded ones have shade cutting that's more form fitting to shape of window frame. There might be a chances of mesh in premium shade has smaller holes as per claimed by product description of one "Exxxx" branded premium shade.

All in all, I don't think there's any functionality difference between two range of shade. Just how you want it to look and feels only.

Hi I'm back. And now with another problem. Yesterday my car started to make metallic clunking noise coming from either the front or back of the left side of my car - yesterday I swear it's from the rear but today, the noise is all coming from the front left. It also happens on and off. But it'll surely happen when I go over uneven road (speedbump, potholes, small road bumps etc).

Also extra question, I'm new to, yknow, taking care of a car. And apprently going to check your car at a Perodua Service Centre actually costs you money? I thought my car is under warranty. Sorry noob question cuz I am noob.

under warranty wont get charged. just make full use complain whatever problems you have..

the only cost is your time to send the car to SC for inspection...

Depends on your usage.

Its not necessarily an advantage or disadvantage. Both also got. But imho its more disadvantageous than advantageous..

Main concern is regarding any leaks will be hard to spot it.. Later oil leak until kosong baru you notice then gg
