1. if u didnt go back to SC, it will woid any warranty. unless u only do at SC for the basic maintenance, change OIL etc, and other issue do at workshop outside.

4. what i read from the FB comments, the issue with driveshaft/steering rack is low quality and Perodua now doing some R&D to change other version, mybe improved version. they also mentioned this issue is came from the gearbox linkage that will tear the driveshaft again even after replacement, there is some other guys said they already change many times and still happened.
its might be true also that engine mounting is the caused of it. each car have diff issue. and perodua never issue official statement, so need to take this as grain of salt.

5. yes, only AV have this issue. on old firmware. always hang. after flash to newer firmware, no more issue, but i see from FB, there is still some issue happened on some user.
yes, im intent to upgrade to android player because im already familiar with this, but might be more few years or when got issue with existing HU. i dont like the android auto and prefer independent android player, that i can put SIM card and use it without touching my phone.

Recently experienced the first problem with my 7months old Alza, I detected the smell while trying to overtake in Sport mode. Then later I try again to speed up on highway in Sport mode too. Same smell detected.
Is there a major problem with the car that causing smell issue like that?

Some say is gearbox overheating some say is aircond compressor overheat when using sport mode not sure is which one.Fot me if I want extra power I use power mode I don t use sport mode Sport mode fr me is going downhill fr engine braking like Cameron hill or getting highland

ahhh sorry I just realised I wrongly mentioned . What I used to overtake was Power button instead of gear's Sport mode.
Above you mentioned gearbox or aircon compressor overheating for Sport mode, what if for Power mode? Any idea to this?

My 2012 Hyundai is showing its age and I now have a family with 2 kids, thinking of getting an Alza since it's very affordable.

Hi... personal experience sharing to you.

I drove the previous gen Alza for 13 years, nothing much to complain as does not have any major problem. I serviced at SC for first 20K km, then just moved out to service outside or self DIY what I can. One thing I like about this Alza is the space, it is not the biggest but can handle IKEA stuffs mostly without any issues compared to others more expensive cars. Not powerful but enough for small family mpv. Slowly upgrade some simple parts for better performance.

After the 13 years, saw this new gen Alza.. decided to change it to H version. So far okay, still not the best. I serviced at SC for upto 15k, then moved out again. Not to say that the SC not good nor very good (depends on each personal views). I just does not like to pay premium and long time just to do normal periodical service. It is a risk that no more warranty coverage.. but still go out from SC.

Some issues as you can see from previous posts.. so wait and see. This Alza not so lazak compared to previous Gen due to the softer engine and dcvt. Go up genting, overtaking etc still okay, just need to know how to drive it and change the driving style. As long as you know the limit, can la.
This new Alza has more space for loading items as it is much longer compared to previous gen. It is quieter compared to previous Gen.
I took the H version as the extra 7.5k, not really for me although the Blind spot feature is a good thing to have. Other features I don't need it eg, hill climb assist (no need as no problem with handling hill climb), audio/360 view (can always upgrade), tint (can do outside), dashcam (can add), EPB (used to conventional as I can control)....


Overall I won't say this is the best car, but it is a good car. Don't expect to have everything for 70k price now. Go have it a test drive, if you first time on cvt.

It you want cheap and space, I think Alza is the one to go. The other car brands that offer similar space and sitting capacity are mostly in the 100k++ region. Perodua also have the Aruz which also sits 7 but it is a bit too bumpy for me

Updates, went for 10k service at SC but before that went on highway to tekan. Somehow no more burnt smell.
Told service advisor about the situation and he arranged extra inspection for undercarriage or might be plastic stuck at exhaust system leading smell issue. He mentioned that don't really receive complaint on burnt smell issue for Alza but instead it's quite common for Ativa due to turbo.

Inspection ends up nothing found. Anyway, smell gone too while on both Power and Sport mode.

Seems like Alza is just height of headlight issue, not really safety issue. So just wait and see if got contacted by Perodua lor

hi all. is the acc stop and go function in alza useful? or its like the one in myvi, ping pong ball style?

Probably the auto highbeam is too high? Will have to wait for the official statement

the ACC with stop and go is ok. but the problem is with LKC. its will be like ping pong and u need to steer urself to the center of the lane.
the current solution to this, is to buy kommu 1s, it will enhanced the LKC better. but the device is quire expensive, more than rm3k.

Hi guys. New owner joining here. Upgraded from Saga FLX to Alza AV

Initially I thought I was the only one who felt this but it seems that its common. Coming from Saga FLX, I can say that Saga's CVT is much smoother. I understand it's not apples to apples comparison but yeah the difference is pretty obvious. I'll have to get use to it

Dropped out from tyre (wrapped in plastic) while foreman removing my tyre for patching.

Floor rubber plug. To cover back hole under the car floor. They used to secure car while moving in trailer. Please take look under floor and install the rubber as now raining season.
