Just wanted to mention my surprised experience with online passport renewal.

Uploaded my photo and paid around 2am, followed up by my gf turn around 2.30am, pickup location chosen is UTC Keramat KL

Morning 8.30am both of us received email with status LULUS


also when i try to do appointment for UTC Keramat, weirdly only Mon - Thurs slots are available. Fri - Sun are not listed at all.

Mine kena rejected on the spot when I uploaded photo on last last Sunday. Now reupload the same photo wait it reply.
But yes, UTC keramat slot only start from 28 Nov. Shocking.

it didnt start at Nov 28 for me. almost all slots are available until Jan 2023 just that Fri, Sat and Sun are not

i just booked my appointment for 21st Nov

You collection at evening? I saw 4-7. Hopefully can go after work.

To be safe , go after 1 week. you will not received email.
funny thing is that ,i received email notification to come and collect after i hv done my passport.

Hi bosses, done apply online and have made appointment UTC KL this Friday. But our PM announced public holiday.

Do UTC KL remained open or what next steps should take? The TnC mention will blacklisted if ffk. I scare cannot renewed anymore after paid.

I renewed my passport online, but got the fingerprint problem message. Website asked me to book an appointment through STO website, which I've done. I chose a 9:30 - 10:30am slot. Do I still need to go early and queue to take number when I arrive?

Reading about everyone's passport drama is making me stressed.

As long as you did STO, no need queue.
Print out the STO.
Print recipe.
Print letter with fingerprint problem.

Hi all, I applied for passport renewal online last week, and selected Kelana Jaya for collection.

How long does it take for them to contact us usually?
How will I be informed whether my passport is ready? Email? Will it be at the spam mail?
Or is there anywhere I can check the status?

Just a few days
Check your spam folder.

Mine took 3 days.
If after 3 days nothing print out receipt, go early to take number and queue up and ask.
Check your email. If you got email with lulus, print out the email, receipt and walk into kelana Jaya branch to collect it.

The office told me by 2 weeks should be out. So up to you if you are in a hurry. If yes then on day 4 of payment (excluding weekends and public holidays) you do the above.

If not in a hurry, wait 2 weeks.

Got my passport today at Kelana Jaya.
For record & those who might need:

16/11 - applied online and paid.

5/12 - didn't receive any email at all.
0720 - arrived at Jabatan Immigration and very long queue dy

0900+ - finally get to step into the office & they will check your passport & online receipt, if everything is ok no need to take number just wait for them to call your name.
0925 - got my passport which is super fast actually


Tips:
1. KJ office really have a lot of ppl, if you have a choice, consider other immigration offices.
2. If you have made an online appointment, don't follow the time, u still need to come here n queue.
3. For KJ situation, if you come after 8am, be prepared to queue >5 shops away.
