So...

Today there is a new firmware update being pushed for the U7H. Update version is V0000.01.00S.M1220. Fixes bugs, apparently. And added Apple AirPlay and Home Kit.

Means nothing for Android users. For people who have iPhones or iPads and don't own an Android box, AirPlay allows you to watch Disney+ albeit without Dolby Vision. Home Kit enables home automation.

Unfortunately the update still doesn't fix Dolby Vision problems with using external Android device and streaming services.

Hi all, been eyeing on 65" U7H but also aware of its with Vidaa OS so can help to confirm if it supports Disney Plus application now? Trying not to get a separate TV box. Thanks!

Hmm didn’t know about the Disney+ issue since my U7H is connected to AppleTV, but never encountered any Dolby vision issue though when plug-in , could be an Android set box problem?

I had to disable the Airplay and HomeKit as it is duplicated from what I had for my AppleTV though

Need opinion from all the sifu's here. Been eyeing for

Hisense U7H
TCL C635
Sony X85K

Have been going through all the post in google and most review mention U7H is better than X85K. Anyone can confirm this?

1) The TCL C365 has brightness flickering/shifting issues with Dolby Vision on netflix (have yet to test DV on other sources) and the Google TV navigation is a bit slow. Also, TCL will be launching their mini LED series next month.
2) Which reviews on the Hisense U7H? A lot of them are the US version which is superior to what we are getting here in Msia
3) Pretty sure the Sony X85K will be better than the other 2 TVs with its software prowess - colour reproduction and superior backlight implementation even with lesser zones/etc

If it's out, remember to check it's spec as it will be different for Malaysia version.

Sure. And I've checked the currently available PX1 Pro. Same spec sheet as per our neighbour Singapore. Different specs do occur in other regions though.

I have used 2 models of Hisense TV since 2019, but until now, none of them receive any firmware update from Hisense at all!

Even I wrote to Hisense Malaysia customer support to ask whether they have the latest TV firmware, but they never reply to me at al....

But if you talk about the TV hardware support, then I will give them a 5 stars. If you lodge a report about your Hisense TV problem, the support usually takes either today or tomorrow to contact you, then the the technician will contact you again in a short time to arrange with you to verify the TV problem.

Haaa...that is why I bought 2 models TV from Hisense due to its after sales support is good! But I won't buy Hisense TV again in the next future due to lack of new firmware support.
