All the big brands no ask? Or you want cheapo budget tires?
Usually for big special size Bridgestone, Continental, Pirelli, Michelin should able to get but need order.
For cheapo budget tires can try ask for Landsail, seen a lot of MPV/SUV with big sport rims usually fitted with this China brand.

The only ones I can find so far after asking around is Michelin and Pirelli

I would like to use Continental or Bridgestone, anyone knows if runflats are available in this size?

Tyre age limit : the 10-year threshold
If the tyres have not been replaced 10 years after their date of manufacture, Michelin recommends replacing them with new tyres as a precaution. You can check our partners' tyre shops at Tyreplus to get your tyres replaced

From 5 years of use
In 5 years, your tyres will probably have been run over many different surfaces and perhaps have suffered shocks. After 5 years of use, have them checked by a professional at least once a year. This will ensure that they have not been damaged prematurely and that they do not endanger you or your passengers.

What kind of specific inspections for tyres more than 5 years?

Have one Toyota Corolla SE with last replaced 185/60R14 in Dec 2019. Car only for weekend drive, haven't reached 5,000km.

Plan to change all 4 until I read your post.

Run flats u might need to make order from the shop.. usually the bigger shop can request for these sizes to be brought in.. runflats of these size is around 1k per piece so they'll have you to put a deposit if the could be bothered ordering

Yes, as per @amscouzach57 feedback

There is no need to change all 4 tires if still within 10 years lifespan & everything still good. My fathers classic car until today almost 9 years tire still in good condition, no crack or peeling anything. Anyway do take note that some tire shop might not be so professional, personally knew a lot of tire shop will try to scam and ask to change after 5 years often with fear mongering tactics (will try say not safe laa, will explode laa..) thus why i lucky to knew few real friends in tire industry.

Any changes to original tire size will impact real world speed as the odometer will not be accurate, even with original tires if already wear out (trend depth already less) will not accurate also.

There is a golden rule that the diameter cannot out by 3% if change to other size, even you change to other size it will be hard to maintain same diameter and speed difference. The most can minimize the speed difference, but cannot totally same.

Then the best is upsize to 225 45 R18 fro 225 40 R18? my current recommended pressure is 41 psi. If upsize to 225 45 r18, I read somewhere I can reduce the tyre pressure lower. Am I right? I seen FB group reduce the pressure using stock tyres to 35-38 psi and the tyres side gg. bangwall.gif

Bro, original if 225/40/R18 why dont want to maintain same size? If you want comfort search for comfort touring base tires like Michelin Primacy 4, Hankook Ventus Prime 4, Bridgestone Turanza 6? Why the itch to up size?

People usually either downgrade to 215 or 205 /45/R18 or upgrade to 235 or 245 /35/R18 (still within 3% golden rule), this also need to consider your current sport rim (JJ) width if able to accept wider or narrow tires.

This is the worse advice i heard for modern times, who tell you by getting thicker tires can be comfort? Especially modern rides nowadays their suspension settings already suit with the tire & sport rim diameter/width. Different changes or settings can impact overall driving & comfort. I learn the hard way previously also listen to some poor advice by changing tire size due to cost in the end the BMW handling sucks and comfort also no way good. Waited for 1 year later (save up some money) order original size and put back and everything went back normal.

Bro, already feedback previously if you want comfort search for comfort touring tires (like Michelin Primacy 4, Hankook Ventus Prime 4, Bridgestone Turanza 6, etc) and use back original size. Each tire brand got many type of category, the Goodyear F1 (depending on model also normal Sport under UHP, Asymmetric 3 under UUHP/Max Performance tire) which is mainly for performance and less comfort base.

UX7 vs Turanza 6 205/60R17

Both around same price. Turanza 6 maybe rm100 more for 4 tyres (rm25 more per tyre).

Anyone with experience or recommendations?
