I see. I went with the Honda official Dashcam thinking they will hide the wiring through the rear hatch wire tube, but instead the guy just route through the headliner and the wire is protruding out from the rubber seal and running exposed to the rear cam, destroying my OCD in the process.

I asked the guy and he said it’s not doable. I also malas to deal with him d, now finding a third party shop to redo the wiring. Any suggestions?

I dont see mine protruding out from the rubber seal. Checked seems like wire all hidden though.

Just went over for the first 1k km service. They quote the estimation cost for next 10k km service is around RM500+-. Is this true?

Based on the maintenance booklet roughly including engine oil and oil filter replacement its only around RM300+- max. So I was wondering where the surcharges coming from?

¹The staff was not willing to entertain my follow up question on this saying "You can get a quotation first on the next service, pologies but i had to attend for next customer immediately"

²This is my first Honda, I had an issue with my front passanger side power window, it creates this whizzing sound when operate. During first service they said they only entertain service appointment and critical repairs during weekends, for other matter like power windows need to reschedule different appointment on weekdays (Monday-Thursday). Is this standard accross all Honda SC?

Based on my existing experience with my civic , Usually the actual it will be lower.
Be sure to reject those optional add-on such as engine cleaning, fuel cleaning if you wish to save some money. Those things will cost additional 20 - 40% cost. I usually ask them to remove all those optional from my lists after the customer service open the service order.
Honda usually offer this to new car owners as they know you will be more willing to pay.

I think the service rendered really depends on the dealer you are going to. Some service centre have great Service Advisors to explain and address questions from customers nicely. Normally the estimation of RM500+ probably includes lots of optional items included by the SA. You may exclude those optional items.

For car issues, the dealers i normally go, would still entertain appointments to fix issues for saturday. But sunday usually only for normal service only due to shorter operating hours.

40% extra due to optional cost?? No wonder its going to be way expensive than it should. Anyway any of these optional item is useful or recommended to be taken along?

The place i go not even opened on Sunday. So yeah now I'm considering or going to go for other sc for next service just for the sake of seeing the customer service there.

Search for Ezy Touch Up Paint on Shopee, the code for this colour is Ignite Red Metallic R575M. It's not perfect, but it will cover up those defects fine enough (for me la)

per panel is about rm300 for repaint. based on own experience owning a Honda car, the paint is kinda thin and easily scratched, same goes for Mazda. Ask the paint shop, they noted the same, but forgot the explanation.

Hi all,

May I check has anyone here installed brake lock specifically the Thailand brand Locktech in their HRV 2022?
I recently installed mine but I found out that the brake pedal can still be depressed (as if Locktech wasn’t installed) even though it is locked. I have experienced Locktech in my other car model where the brake pedal totally has no free play to depress brake pedal once Locktech is locked. I know it’s still won’t start because of the socket thing but is this normal?

Could anyone share their Locktech installation experience?
Is it the same as mine where the brake pedal has freeplay even though it has been locked?
Mine is V (non RS hybrid)

Thanks.

Hi all, nak tumpang tered.

I getting my HRV around December, thinking of getting modulo bodykit (side skirt/ front & back lip) but Honda charging 3.8k for it.

Was browsing lazada/shopee and saw few workshops selling the bodykits for only RM1k for installation at their workshop.

Anyone tried outside workshop for bodykits? How's the quality? Or shd i fork up extra and get honda ori parts

You booked S spec? Because Honda's Modulo is only available for S spec. Other specs have no bodykit unless u going for aftermarket ones

Finally booked HRV V spec. I am upgrading from Myvi. Hopefully will receive car by mid of 2023.
By the way any one tried to change rear turn indicator from halogen bulb to LED?
This was the first MOD I had done when I got Myvi. I believe honda is using T20 socket.
