QUOTE(Area51SE @ Jul 8 2022, 09:01 PM) My SA mentioned the internal memo is true. The 1 year waiting is applicable to those that booked late June or July. His statement mentioning mine can get by this year because i booked early June before Honda announced officially opened for booking Doubt the 2021/2022 accord had that waiting period considering how cold model from Honda here. |

question, can we send outside to paint the plastic trim to be as RS later? |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Jul 29 2022, 12:37 PM) Just taken delivery of my wife’s HR-V V Spec. thanks to aftermarket HU kan? saw the car last weekend at Ioi Putrajaya, SA there even switch on the engine inside the mall. The HU for me kinda less screen quality, I mean the color it like less-pixel.Good news: The latest HRV got RDS - not even my current Civic FE RS got… the turbo engine is similar to my Civic - didn’t push yet la… only 15km driven Bad news: no auto folding side mirror. Not sure if there is a setting - but didn’t see any for this. Also, A pillar on left side + side mirror is a huge blindspot in my humble opinion. Just a short drive, so can’t comment much yet. Will update my first impressions later. |

QUOTE(19 Degree South @ Aug 12 2022, 12:31 PM) Was quoted 2.32 before the interest rate hike. Hybrid was 2.29 back then. Dont think RHB is competitive in HP. They prefer to do used and recon car if i am not mistaken. Based on own experience, RHB and Ambank were known to give lower rate of interest for cars, new in my case. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Aug 12 2022, 07:22 PM) Since like that, HRV definitely suits you. Seats are plushier than Civic. Had Trapo back then cz of shopee offer + affin cc shopee voucher hence the overall price is rm200+, without boot. One cons, on x70, it did not cover the left side - foot rest area. It is carpeted and easily dirty if not covered.Anyway, just a side review, bought Trapo Hex for my Civic and Dodo Mat for my wife’s HRV. After using both for a while, can now say that I prefer the Dodo Mat. Dodo Mat can’t really see the dirt, it falls down to the 2nd layer. Trapo, the small2 dirt is really obvious. Fit and finish, I give Dodo a higher rating as the cutting is slightly better, but both are very similar. |

QUOTE(hus2020 @ Aug 13 2022, 10:23 PM) No challenge on efficiency, true. I feel 800km full tank is easily achievable. I have crossed 500km with 3 bars of fuel left. U are not encourage to use cruise control if want to get better fc or having fc challenge. It will try put effort to maintain the speed doesn't matter what the situation. When heading a slight climb, the cruise control will try drop gear etc, this make fc worse vs controls smooth by manual. My major problem is how the cruise control catches for speed. It applies very harsh acceleration. That instant, the noise is unbearable. If I cancel cruise and hit the pedal myself slowly, its smooth. Generally for rush hour traffic, at 30 to 40km/h, its always on EV mode. jimmychangas liked this post

QUOTE(isr25 @ Aug 16 2022, 05:28 AM) On paper specs, HRV Turbo achieves 0-100 in 8.8 seconds, Civic V achieves it in 8.4 seconds and X50 claims it to be 7.9 seconds. You can see x50 vs Civic, paper specs lie… and you can infer that HRV turbo would be faster than X50 the dct in the geely car is not tuned aggressively, as per say VW DSG. The civic cvt mimicking the normal auto rev here is nice. |

QUOTE(isr25 @ Aug 23 2022, 08:11 AM) In case you go to Honda Service Centre and the Service Advisor recommends to add on Honda Engine Oil Treatment and Honda Fuel Injector Cleaner which are optional items, you can read this. Some excerpts: the no 1 and 2 were well known on Honda, Proton and Perodua SC. Hello owner, put strong words and skip these unnecessary things when servicing your car. use that money for a great lunch with family and kids instead.• Using oil additives: Your vehicle does not require oil additives. In fact, they may adversely affect the engine performance and durability. • Fuel injection cleaning/flushing: This procedure is not recommended by American Honda, as it is an unnecessary maintenance procedure and improper repair procedure. If a Honda vehicle is experiencing a fuel injector malfunction, the faulty injector should be replaced. • Extra oil changes: Oil changes should be performed in accordance with maintenance minder and the Honda owner's manual. Only a relatively small percentage of Honda owners routinely operate their vehicles under severe maintenance conditions which might necessitate more frequent changes than are typically recommended. So don't waste money ya. Just follow the official maintenance schedule and just reject any additional items, definitely won't void warranty - unless you want la, up to you. I every time visit the SC, surely got lots of additional items tacked on, and I have to fight to remove them. The Service Advisor always say "recommended by Honda Malaysia" or "recommended to do this procedure every 10,000km", or "to prolong your car's life" to guilt/pressure you into accepting them. I bolayan them, and stay firm to reject all items, except balancing/alignment/rotation that I request them - pay slightly higher but they have the correct setting for my car. |

QUOTE(forte_cyber @ Aug 23 2022, 05:29 PM) I took my HRV turbo two weeks ago, as now I enjoy every single ride on this car. my feedbacks as follow: what car? or u upgrading from another Honda as wellPro: - Acceptable fuel consumption: average 13.6km/L (50% city, 50% highway) - Acceleration is good - NVH is good (compare to my other cars) - Handling is good for suv - Nice exterior & interior (I like the simple dashboard design) - Great active safety features (Honda Sensing), tested most of the features except CMBS & LSF Cons: - Suspension a bit stiff - No BSM (blind spot monitoring) - Low reverse camera resolution - Only 4 adults in the car, middle rear seat not suitable for adult |

QUOTE(jimmychangas @ Sep 2 2022, 10:28 PM) Ok it’s been a really busy past few weeks but yesterday I finally took delivery of my M gray RS. No 2 - I think u mean to mention the X50? As it have this issue, while X70 is not.Earlier in August I asked my SA about my allocation, she asked me to check back in Sept at the time. But a few days later she suddenly told me my car is allocated. I think the car was originally allocated (and actually transported) to another dealer, but because that dealer and the dealer I booked mine at are owned by the same boss, they just “transferred” that allocation to me. Can’t confirm if this is the case, just my thoughts. Coming from a 2012 Jazz Hybrid (CBU Japan), here’s my first review. Disclaimer: I booked and purchased the car without prior viewing and test driving. Yesterday was my actual first time coming up close and personal with the actual car. Pretty YOLO but it paid off. 1. I’m 190cm tall and thankfully I still have about 2cm of headroom left after adjusting my driving position. It was also a good call to instruct my SA to not include the 7 inch tint sun visor. I’m able to see through the entire length of the hood, which makes front facing parking a lot easier. 2. Also thankfully, the side mirrors have a wide angle adjustment range (unlike the Proton X70 where the side mirrors couldn’t go beyond a certain angle, unable to eliminate far out blind spots). 3. I’m not a fast driving kind of guy so…. Even on ECON mode the HRV RS has decent acceleration to me. 4. Drove 55+km home after taking delivery, set ACC at 80kph (because…. I don’t know, let the engine break-in lol) and the meter says I got 25km/L FC 5. NVH is pretty good, except that tire roar is quite loud… I think it’s even louder than my CBU Jazz. Sekian. More to come. No 5 - norm for Malacca made Honda. They do cut cost on sound insulation? It just a norm when u ask any sound insulation shop, they agreed that Malacca made model had almost thin/cheap sound insulation from factory |

QUOTE(jkkyhamsterboy @ Sep 21 2022, 12:27 PM) Hi all, Then it serve no purpose if u lock but has freeplay. Better use manual brake lockMay I check has anyone here installed brake lock specifically the Thailand brand Locktech in their HRV 2022? I recently installed mine but I found out that the brake pedal can still be depressed (as if Locktech wasn’t installed) even though it is locked. I have experienced Locktech in my other car model where the brake pedal totally has no free play to depress brake pedal once Locktech is locked. I know it’s still won’t start because of the socket thing but is this normal? Could anyone share their Locktech installation experience? Is it the same as mine where the brake pedal has freeplay even though it has been locked? Mine is V (non RS hybrid) Thanks. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Nov 2 2022, 03:51 PM) haiya about this, alot SC or watever workshop out there, they no give a fucuk about ur car recommended tire pressure one, they just hantam watever they like. crazy dangerous shit. My car also same, i ask them refill nitrogen, then after that i drive very floaty and bumpy, then i use the tire pressure gauge to check, is way above man. thats y better check everytime u ask them to refill. my idea, the SC only uses the compressor hose connector to fill up the tyre pressure and malas to recheck back the final pressure.i call and fucuk the boss the boss just say oh okay only. |
