depend on your budget. one 5k, one 4k. my 2017 mbp still running fine and cannot find any reason to change. Ventura update still supported. I just wait for next year M3 model
MBA m2 base model has slower ssd speed. so u will end up upgrade till almost 6k.
MBA has lesser port compare to MBP.

same. also on 2017 MBP 4 thunderbolt.

no reason to change also...

seriously unless weight is a concern. 14-inch MBP based model is a better with 512gb ssd + 16gb ram.

My MBP has that flashing/flickering touch bar issue which can't be solved unless I pay 2k to change the keyboard.
I would have been eligible for the keyboard service program had I not dropped the laptop and voided that warranty. sad.gif

The other reason is I need to lower my taxable income.

i dun have touch bar issue, and i do not have keyboard issues. i had changed a total of 2 times keyboard using the program but not becos of keyboard issue but due to battery bloated. so it is considered very worth it since the two times replacement is free. the battery and keyboard are together, so replacing battery also replacing the keyboard.

if not becos of the keyboard program, i need to pay the 2 x fee for battery replacement.

i only have a screen flickering issue but after i reflash the macOS at apple back to the original version, it is fixed.

Do you guys feel any difference between the keyboard on MBA M1 vs M2?
I feel like M2's keyboard is better or maybe I'm wrong?

MBP M2 8/512GB currently a bit cheaper than MBA M2. Should i go for mbp or topup a bit for mba?

Mainly using for office, canva, a bit photoshop and lightroom.
