one of my workstation MBP 15" 2014 are still kicking strong today.
Expect to survive another 3 more years.

Usually WWDC will not release new model, they focus on operating system
But still the macs need some upgrade, especially the iMac
Im eyeing on iMac or larger screen MBA

You should ask yourself instead of forum, what is your hard disk capacity now? what is your external storage volume?

For me 256GB not enough, but for my gf it's more than succifient.
Media editing software you estimate 5GB each, maybe just 25GB, Mac OS took 20GB.
