is it still worth it to get the M2 in 2025?

would like to get my first macbook and my normal usage is just gonna be casual web browsing, videos, some simple photo editing, microsoft office. no fancy editing and gaming.

i thought of getting the M3 but its out of stock everywhere. not thinking of getting M4 since i think my usage don’t require such high specs?

my only concern is how long more will M2 be receiving updates..

But with installment these days, I would say go for a new one la.

M4 Air is the best purchase in 2025.

For me better get m1 air with that type of usage. Below 2k can get used m1, just look for best battery health and physical condition

eventually got myself the M2. was actually also thinking to get M1 but since it’s quite a few years old d, might as well get one level up.. and also M2 is still within my budget.

how much u getting the M2 air? i was eyeing for a macbook also, but dont want to splurge all my money on new M4 air. I leaning toward used M1 which can found below 2k. but i dont mind to top up a bit for M2, or M3.

picked mine up at machines for RM3649. stretched the EPP all the way to 36 months so RM101 per month which is ok.

Switch is selling about RM3590 on lazada but that one can’t do instalment.

Is it 16gb ram?
