How the real world performance vs old m1 mba...
Cos the m2 mba cost 5.4~5.5k...for base model..

I doubt normal users will notice any difference… Anyways, am disappointed they didn’t see fit to bring back the HDMI port on the MBA like they did for the MBP 14. RM1k difference just for the new chip is a bit of an ask for most people.

yeah, it's like RM1,100 higher price.
same memory and storage size, better camera and better chip....

Usd just 1.1k if convert to myr also not reach 5k+...
How come the price here become 5k+..
Is apple predict myr will continue to slip past myr 5 to 1 usd?

Need to consider tax applied at different countries also.

Wanted to upgrade my old intel macbook air (though just 3 years old) to this new one. Love the midnight blue color. but that price is just too much for me. Think need to save for another year or two.

for the currency hike recently, I think the price for this m2 MBA will keep rising.
But hopefully it will not.

Look at the M1 8-core CPU, 8-Core GPU 512GB, I think that is a good machines. RM5,399...slightly bad camera, older chip...but more storage.

the colours options given suprisingly are not as colourful as per the rumours. but still not bad colours.

After owning a few gaming laptops i wanna try something totally different in terms of os. Been waiting for this but really wonder how much the actual base model will cos

The new MacBook Air looks gorgeous, gonna grab it once it is out.

looks nice indeed... but find that adding a bit more can get 512GB macbook pro 14-inch actually.

Is the screen bigger too vs m1 ?

The M1 Air is being retained as the base model now. Maybe look at the M1 Pros to see if got good bargain now that it has been discontinued.

Pro 2022 doesn't have MagSafe, surprisingly.

The 8 Core GPU M1 model has been discontinue I think, smart Apple...
