Are those 3rd party registered under Apple? Those not registered under Apple won't be able to source genuine apple parts.

I already found a buyer for this macbook pro but just realised the battery is swollen (I usually place it on stand so won’t notice unless I put it down on table)

The buyer doesn’t mind if I go to 3rd party repair but if the price is similar (below RM600) then I will prefer to go to Switch (this Switch website doesn’t have service cost for macs )

I got mine replaced at a third party shop in digital mall last time. It was for a mbp 2015. Was charged RM280. Not sure of different mode prices.

Btw, it lasted me longer than the original battery!

I ordered M1 base model instead after weighing all the pros and con (thermal and ssd speed)

Makes sense. If you can get over the big bezels around the screen, it should be a more wise choice.

Ordered on 11th eta 2nd to 9th Aug.. I'm upgrading from 2008 macbook unibody..

That macbook is still alive!!! ??? Legend…haha..is it even still running well ?

best time to get no warranty, very well maintained used MBA
around 3.5K. Good buy.
