Guys, is it recommend or ok to just take the basic model that is price RM5,499 (8GB Ram and 256GB storage) ?

Just normal surf web, watching movie and some microsoft apps only?

u need 16gb and 512gb for M2 Air for normal stuff. This is not a joke.

been using this spec since 4 years+. Some more i'm using dual core intel.

Your spec can't even play a high bitrate 4k60fps video smoothly.

Can i know the refresh rate for the macbook air M1 & M2? 60hz? is it the same?

To me, base specs is enough for ur usage

16gb is just to futureproof in case you need more (u plan to do more resource intensive stuffs)

As for storage … there’s always external HDD (cheaper) option

No brainer.

For light usage, 256gb and 8gb is fine.

If Intel based that can do bootcamp windows, 512gb is min.

Now m1 chip u are only on one OS it is ok actually.

I’m getting it with these configurations:

- Midnight
- M2 with 8 core GPU
- 16GB RAM
- 256GB SSD

Is this okay? Or should I get the 10 core GPU model.

As for ssd space, I really don’t need more than 256GB. My 2015 MBP had 128GB and I could never fill it up with permanent things. I use a lot of cloud space and external drives.

Can tumpang ask how much it costs to service swollen battery for out of warranty macbook pro?

Lucky mine got apple care. Pay just 800 to claim 2k warranty. So macbook must buy applecare no matter how (get it before 1 year expire).

same as my situation. It's 1 1/2 year ago. went to apple service center. I still remember that time is when MY open after lockdown.
Faster rush to apple service center at sunway pyramid.
