Ahh jumpa pon. Was finding this owner thread. Am looking at a SUV for wife's next car. Posted on X50 thread as that is another model i'm looking at aside from Cross.

May i know if the Cross has any niggling issues, quirks? I am looking at the normal version (read non hybrid). 1.8 i belive is adequate for its weight, but say you the owners (laju2 sgt pon bukan i nak race, cukup la has a good speed, pickup and power when its need)

How's the space compared among its similar peers (X50, CRV dll)?

owner since 2021. cbu thai

supposed to be my car but my wife took over.

no major damage or problem aside from bearings? (drove through a lot of wet areas)

being a toyota. just nice. not too complicated. not too left out. got carplay. 360 cam. comfy, high enough for the car to move around. nimble enough to go out from parking.

just nice for a lady.

for x50 and crv probably the turbo part i didnt like. tiba2 tekan memecut. but i didnt drive in highway. so probably thats why

Would you guys recommend the petrol version or hybrid and why? Test drove both and somehow hybrid version seems to have audible humming/angry noise frequently I believe when it’s charging. Noticible from stop to move or when driving slowly. And feels a bit underpowered compared to the petrol version.

However if not for that sound I feel hybrid is more worth.

Also interested to know if this or x70 more worth? Feature wise seems like x70

The entire Geely range is moving from 3-cyl to newer 4-cyl timing chain engines over 12 months.

well generally what i see is the x series are more bang for the buck, just that after purchase fingers crossed hope dun have issues otherwise in for a long wait for parts

but what made you guys choose this car instead of hrv instead since they're almost similarly priced? especially hybrid versions

Guys, I remember seeing a review saying only the GR Sport version have anti-crash bar at the rear bumper, other versions of Cross don't have this but can install it outside.

Anyone installed the rear anti-crash bar? Where did you get it done and at what cost? Looking to do it at KL, more towards city center, or nearby taman.

A friend send to me a FB short video about anti-roll bars for Cross, but towards the end of the video, the video shows the rear anti-crash bar.

I am more interested in the anti-crash bar than the anti-roll bar.

I just found back the video from my whatsapp chat - and the shop name is there, but just want to ask some opinions and recommendations from owners here.

Not don't care, maybe like me, didn't even know it was not installed or what it was until I see videos educating us about it.

same, i also dont know until i saw a Taiwan used car dealer bought cross and hr-v and teared them down completely, it was really a useful video as you can know how the car was build instead of buying the car base on looking on the spec, interior and exterior.

anyone using the "1st gen" cross hybrid? what's your fuel consumption now?

previously mine can get around 680-700km per full tank, now suddenly dropped to 630-650km per full tank.

same driving style, same route.

wonder why the increase in fuel consumption.
