They changed the ONU but set it as bridge mode as my office is already using a Mikrotik cloud core router

So, are the 5 fixed IPs maintained the same address after the speed upgrade? Do they provide instructions on how to configure the ONR to bridge mode and how to configure the 5 fixed IPs?

Thanks!!

Yes. There's no change to the 5 fixed IPs
They configure the ONU for us, we don't have to do anything. You just have to tell them you want the ONU to run as modem only, no dial up
The 5 fixed IP is already configured in the Mikrotik Cloud Router before we do the upgrade so there's no change necessary

Hi all. I've got a noob question. Previously I've been using unifi standard wifi router and is now showing signs of Nak rosak. And got technical issue so tm technician will come over to check.

I am thinking they may offer me a modem replacement with contract or I can buy one off the technician.

Can you guys recommend me what to do? I don't want their free wifi router as I would need to get into another contract (already finished current current). If I buy a router from them, which ones to avoid? Or if I buy a router myself, which one is good? Don't need high spec one. Just a good cost effective one and I'm living in a condo so no need for wide coverage.

Hope to hear your advices.

For router login just refer the sticker on the router itself. For PPPOE username and pw, can always go into router settings and check. Not all technician will give you details for PPPOE username and pw.

I recommend you buy your own router. Get a Tplink AX20 or AX73, good enough for normal usage.
