Time to look for other service provider.
*
Apart from Time, Allo, or Celcom Timur in Sabah, other provider also use TM's infra. So in one way or another, you will still encounter TM.

I just realised my neighbor's Unifi cable runs from the pole, overhangs above our balcony and reaches over to their upper bedroom. Generally it doesn't affect us, as we don't use the balcony much and it is somewhat above human height  - ceiling height ie. But what if hypothetically some neighbors don't like this overhanging cables above their balcony, what can they do?
*
If say you don't like that overhanging cables above your balcony, best you can do is to call 100 and request TM to come and reroot the cable. It is not the neighbour's fault because TM's standard installation are done in such a way which determine by their contractor during installation.

Can you elaborate further the 800mbps is at the same price as the pre-upgrade at 159/169/179 or top up?
*
Those are from very old plan, and turbo-ed during the PH era. No way can you get those pricing anymore no matter how hard you try.

Since I'm not sure whether I am the only one on Streamyx at this area and that my account still active last I checked and ongoing billing. We also not yet been approached for migration most recently, in the past year we were approached but we rejected due to some issue owner transfer issues.

Likely means we are still suppose be served by the copper and they won't stop it without calling us to migrate first right?
*
Like most of the cases, they will send letters to inform streamyx owner to migrate. How efficient is their process of service for streamyx nobody can really tell at this moment. But knowing that the days for Streamyx are numbered, perhaps you can pay a visit to Tmpoint and request for the upgrade to fibre. There is the RM69 for 30mbps, similar to what you pay for Streamyx.

QUOTE(yurie @ Jun 13 2022, 01:24 PM)
Yes, we had the Fixed Line and Streamyx  account merged.

Just got the information that they had done the end of life for streamyx up to xx date so they informed that the bill will charged until the xx date, and adjusting of bill charges can be done after the we submit the closing account procedures.

As for new migration, they had mentioned they have this rm69 plan as well or I can also deal with other telco.

So if I take time to enquire about other plans before decide, mean can I let that Streamyx account sit unclosed? Since they said the bill is up to xx date charge which mean the date last we still can use the Internet. I heard some people let the account sit with no service attached and get Rm0 bill monthly charge possible? So the migration will be more easier if we still want to take the 69 promo, so no need to submit so many documents. (But not sure what they mean by adjustment can only made after close account)
*
I'm not sure if you can let the account unclosed with 0 bill. At best they can let it open for few months, which you need to call up 100 and check with the billing department.

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jun 13 2022, 03:27 PM)
RM69 for 30Mb/s is the cheapest package you can get on the market right now
Other ISP cheapest price is RM89
*
Celcom RM80, but maybe if his place got Allo and can consider going for higher package which are cheaper.

So we informed TM and we said we no longer have the Streamyx line available (no power from wire) due to Streamyx decom (at first they were clueless saying technical issue  when we complaint no line/dsl because we weren't sure if it's really the decomm taking effect but after we send in the decomm notice from tmpoint to TM helpdesk email they confirmed that my line will no longer be fixed), but they said the bill will continue to charge until we issue termination notice  which incurs another 2 full bill cycles. What's with this dodginess?
*
Go to your nearest Tmpoint to settle. Don't hope for anything good from Email or 100.

QUOTE(DeadBullet @ Jun 16 2022, 02:38 PM)
just got my router changed by tm technician after signing up the 300mbps swu plan. how long usually does it take the plan to update after the router change? because on the myunifi app is still show my old plan speed
*
Your speed test still didn't show 300mbps after restart modem? The plan update on app will be done usually in few working days.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jun 16 2022, 02:57 PM)
Walk-in to Taipan TM office and ask for SWU. Specifically said don't want hypptv since I don't even have a TV. My old hypptv box from 10 years ago original install unifi been in my storeroom for more than half that time liao.
If add without charge nvm, this one charging me RM30....
*
Try to call 100 to escalate a case, ask them to remove.

QUOTE(PJng @ Jun 16 2022, 03:06 PM)

yeah even after restarting the router I my speedtest still shows 30mbps instead of 300mbps and I'm currently using cat6 lan cable
*
Then I suggest you live chat or call them. Say the technician already change router but still didn't get the subscribe speed. Setting the speed is usually done in a short time, even most cases before technician come, your account already adjusted to the new speed.

Has anyone ever gave up taking the rm69 lifetime price offer to migrate streamyx to fiber 30m? do you think they will ever offer this again?
*
The offer is still ongoing. You just need to walk into Tmpoint as livechat is not as reliable as you want it to be.

My friend who was on 100Mbps/unifiTV@RM129 registered for Maxis 300Mbps recently. 2 days after getting the transfer ID, TM called and counter offered him RM129@300Mbps + free 6 months bill (since Maxis offers this) but with no unifi tv.
I read somewhere that SWU offer supposed to end last month. I guess the new offer now includes this 'free 6 months'. Not sure what the TnC is though. For Maxis it is free starting from the 3rd month bill onwards.
*
Haha, the only way for them is to follow what Maxis can offer? If they can set 300mbps at RM129 for everyone, then that's fair.

How reliable is the unifi modem? Mine was the Huawei model.. kaput after 1 year and about 3 months.

Got replaced with Nokia version

Mine using Huawei running from 2017 until I port out last year. Then TM change it to ZTE modem. The modem is TM's property so just call them to change if spoilt.

That's nice to have 6 months free. I couldn't do a transfer to Maxis as they were not able to see any free port. Otherwise, I would have tried to get the free fees thou.
*
You mean you tried applying for transfer but Maxis couldn't locate your address?

they did find my address but unable to proceed as there was no available port.
*
If you use the switching method, it shouldn't happen as Maxis will just take over the existing Unifi port once TM approve the switch.
Btw if you are planning to get the Staywithunifi plan, can just ask without switching. A few forumers here got it without needing to apply transfer to other provider.

Checked with unifi.com.my/check-coverage my home got fiber.
But applied with telemarketing team seen like the fiber yet coming my area. So which source i need to refer with.
*
Why not apply direct from Unifi website or through local agent? Telemarketting sometimes cannot access if the address is newly installed Unifi. .

I went to TM point. yesterday and said they need to check with HQ. Today feedback to me. Said no such thing offer like StayWithUnifi programme  sweat.gif
*
Haha, just bad luck I suppose. You can try another Tmpoint, or try with the same Tmpoint but different CS. It's only a matter if they want to give you or not.

meaning just go and sign up maxis service? or other fibre such as digi/celcom?
*
Just go to Tmpoint and ask for Staywithunifi plan, 300mbps internet only for RM129. If Tmpoint refuse to give you, then sign up for Maxis or other provider like Celcom, see what Tm will counter offer.

Also do take note that you need to take risk because TM may not counter offer.
*
If no counter offer, and the incoming offer from other provider is good then just go for it. It is just using the same infra, different routes.

Yep. Both Router and also TM New modem oso. But since i edy use my personal router , so i just keep the new router and modem. The technician also kind enough to explain to me. If any issue can call 100 and use the new router or modem whenever need replacement, as for now just keep it.
*
You keep the modem also? So you have two modem? I thought they would take away the old modem and replace it with new one since the modem belongs to TM.
